my CS crashes everytime i try to create a game...
 

I installed the all-in-one version of POD-mm and metamod...all my files goes to...
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Steam\SteamApps\your@email.address\co unter-strike\

by the way, what's Your@email.address? i have my account name for 1 of the file...and i thought maybe that's my email.address?

I got POD-mm and metamod extracted, i got the plugins done and the liblist.gam done...I just can't get it working with the offline game going...

I keep getting crashes from the game ...

It shouldn't go to ...\counter strike\
It should go to ...\counter strike\cstrike
When You install steam it creates the folder with email address for example
ancient@cfegames.com, so You may see the folder in SteamApps:
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Steam\SteamApps\ancient@cfegames.com\ counter strike
In this case your@email.address is ancient@cfegames.com - it's just Your email address You registered acount in Valve (for Steam).

The steam apps \ is always either a <username> or an <email>.

C:\Program Files\Sierra\Steam\SteamApps\ancient@cfegames.com\ counter strike
or
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Steam\SteamApps\ancient__\ counter strike

Download AllInOne (AIO)
http://podbotmm.bots-united.com/main.../downloads.htm

Extract the zip files to
C:\Program Files\Sierra\Steam\SteamApps\ancient__\ counter strike\cstrike
And overwrite all.

And all your worries should be over.
If you want to change the bot settings, edit the podbot.cfg in the
cstrike\addons\podbot folder.

ok, i tried overwriting everything but it's still not working. It gave me this problem saying, "the game is currently unavailable. Please try the game another time"

Well you get that message from steam, because of a bandwidth thing (Thats not pbmm).

I only get this message when I'm double clicking on a game from my games list, everything should be running fine; I don't know what the deal is.

Well try again later and see if everything is working fine. Also when you get on besure to use a standard map like cs_militia etc...

Reinstall the steam. Get to work correctly Your CS without bots. Then install All-In-One.
Note:
1. Non-steam CS1.6 is not supported.
2. ZBOT (hacked version of CZERO bot to get it working under CS1.6) is not supported.

yeah, i know how to get the unavailable game solved. I tried to do what "Ancient" told me to do. I overwrited everything with All-in-one from that. When i got back to CS, i tried creating a game yet it crashes...same problem. But if i were to play the game without bots, it works fine when i tried loading the maps.

Make sure in Your advanced properties of the game (when You can see the list of available games under steam) there is no specyfic settings to run counter-strike. Try to make some screenshots (as jpg) of Your folders to let me see the structure of Your folders (cstrike, addons, metamod). Show Your liblist.gam from cstrike folder. I believe You are trying to play CS1.6 - not CZERO, right?

I can give you Screen Shots of my Folders if you want to see what it's soposed to look like.

Also I can take ones of czero.
BTW if it's czero extract the AIO in the czero folder

Yeah, i am trying to play CS1.6. I'll try to upload some of the screenshots of it when i am done with things that i have to take care with.

Well I haven't spotted anything weird.

But lets see if its pbmm or not.

Go into addons/metamod folder open plugins.ini and make the pbmm line look like.
;win32 addons/podbot/podbot_mm.dll
;linux addons/podbot/podbot_mm.so

Then try to run cstrike again.

Since your running windows the ;before linux should always remain.

Maybe you are having an Amx X Issue, causing the game to crash immediately.

Go to
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<username>\counter-strike\errorlogs

Open the very last .txt in the directory for example
there is
errorlog00027.txt
errorlog00028.txt
Open 28 because its the last one :)
Then post it.


I am currently thinking you did not place the models for amx x correctly, because thats a crash that I recieved before.

perhaps i can help you.... try to download the podbot package http://filebase.bots-united.com/inde...on=file&id=401 . unzip it to your cstrike folder (e.g. :
E:\Spiele\steam\steamapps\endearingly-soldier@freenet.de\counter-strike\cstrike\addons\) donwload metamod www.metamod.org and unzip it to your addons folder same as your podbot . you need only the dlls folder with the metamod dll and the plugins.ini in your metamod folder. ok, after this edit your liblist.gam (in your cstrike folder) change the line gamedll "dlls\mp.dll" to
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

and write in your plugins.ini (metamod folder) following line: win32 addons\podbot\podbot_mm.dll

(hope you have windows running :) )

if you have already other addons installed make a copy befor and try this advice... it should work

after reading this thread.... just uninstall your gameui.dll (E:\Spiele\steam\steamapps\endearingly-soldier@freenet.de\counter-strike\valve\cl_dlls)

right that, the gameui.dll was a icq-like programm from valve , but it was never finished and your error will perhaps occour by this(in1.5 won it was)
