How can you tell what version you have?
 

I was just wondering b/c I want to install the new version, but im scared to install the same one.

The version number is displayed on the HUD when you create a game.

Newer versions display the version information on dedicated server startup in the server log when you load epb via metamod.

Ok i have 5.2 so i need to upgrade to 5.3 oh and one more question, when I finish downloading and installing the 5.3, do I have to do something to actually make the 5.3 work? or it does everything once I install it.

If you just upgrade the .exe or .so you will miss at least one new config file for botaim2.

Ok I installed the 5.3 and put it in my account name in steam (folder) and I dont see anything liblist.gam file in that new folder of EpodBot. I cant get it to work. when I press new game in counter-strike and ok it doesnt bring me to my game, it just stays in the main menu.

that's probably because 5.3 is an update that requires some older base installation package. The older base installation package probably did all the liblist.gam or metamod plugins.ini editing, so the newer 5.3 probably doesn't need to do that. From what I know, 5.3 just replaces the older epod files with newer ones and doesn't edit liblist.gam or plugins.ini because STORM probably assumed you've used a older base installation package at some point before. However, if you haven't, just open the metamod plugins.ini and add
win32 *folders epb is in*/epb.dll

I don't know if editing liblist.gam will help because I think is only metamod

Its not only Metamod. And version 5.3 is full package, no need from old versions. Maybe he just had installed them in wrong folder. :)

Ok im giong to install the 5.3 all over again. Im going to put it in what folder?
(I still have the 5.2 version in my Cstrike Folder)

In to the main CS folder!

really? when i ran 5.3, it didn't do anything to the metamod plugins.ini

it's just that liblist.gam is missing in that package, but if you still have version 5.2, this is no problem, just take the liblist.gam from that version.
