Listen Up, Everybody!
1 Attachment(s)
The latest patch, Fritz 0.70b_final, had some errors in the waypoint files. I "think" that I've got them all sorted out.
Here are the changes: DELETED: et_mor2, vengeance, xdam, railgun -- reason: not ready for release ADDED: reactor_final, et_ufo_final -- reason: missing from the patch UPDATED: caen2, fueldump, goldrush, oasis -- reason: older versions were included in the patch Change the name of the attached Fritz0_fixed.zip to Fritz0_fixed.pk3 and use it to replace the original Fritz0.pk3 that was included with the patch. We really need to have a central point where all waypoints, new and updated, are stored with revision histories so everyone can be sure to have the latest version of the files. I'll volunteer to take this on. :P What it'll take from all the waypointers is for you to send me your files when you make changes, complete with a revision history (use TomTom's template). I'll put them into a common pk3 which will have a revision number that will be updated with each addition. This will be uploaded to the forum filebase where everyone can check periodically to see if they have the latest version. We'll have just one master pk3 instead of a bunch of individual waypoint files floating around. All comments, suggestions, and gripes will be considered. I'm not a bookeeper by desire but we certainly need to keep our files in order! |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
thank you and welcome back Great Boo-keeper;)

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
lol thanks for the update :) i wandered why on x dam they just stood around and on et_mor2 the axis did nothing then the alleis did nothing once the tank reached the main gate :)
i really must learn to waypoint.... |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
great stuff! very much appreciated!
i noticed that when entering a game it still says BETA... maybe alter something and add the the next .pk3 to say FINAL... just a thought |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
Thanks agian Bindle for helping keep stuff organized. New file is running on the server. Agian Mal thanks for such a great bot and to all of the Fritz waypointers keep the good stuff coming.

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
0_o i don't even know what dll stands for let alone edit it 0_o
i was just thinking of it for mals benefit (it wasn't a complaint!) he's announced it as final so i thought it might be easy to edit something to change the start server pop-up and add it to a new .pk3 only becuase it looks like another will be released :gunsmilie: |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
Oddly faster to hack than to compile. My point is Any of the developers can maintain the minor files (waypoints, menus, bots...) in the pk3 and with bindlestiff volunteering we can do it in an organized way. But the 3 compiled dynamic linked libraries (now you know) that the server executes are Mal's by rights. And we should be happy that he took time to do this update and let him get back to his real job.
BTW I didn't mean anything when I said "complaint...". I appreciate your efforts. This mod will only go forward by all of our efforts together. thx |

If your 100% sure that the Fritz0.pk3 is fixed, I'll release it as a patch. |

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
great!
as soon as this is all sorted i'll update my server :) btw, Braundorf times are allied 30, axis 15 and timelimit 10 ? is this done on purpose for fritzbot reasons? normally it's played allied 20 axis 30 timelimit 15 or 20 |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
I modified those times for balance. If your playing the map in stopwatch mode rather than campaign / objective, you could probably get away with changing those back to default.

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
It ran great on my Server last night )The Kill Box(. I'd say safe to download now and use. It's the file Bindlestiff posted on the forums.

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
Yea, if Bindle or CrapShoot says its good to go, I'll release a patch.

GREAT!
i'd hug you all but people would start talking  |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
Patch is updated, is marked as "patch". Get it while its hot.
Also did a bit of tidying to the general filebase layout: ET waypoint packs now have their own category, as to RTCW ones. Also - waypoint packs that have been included in the latest release/patch should prolly be deleted, or let me know which is which, and I can delete them, to prevent confusion, and ppl getting old, outdated packs. |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
I hope no one else is having this problem, but I get "corrupt file" errors when I try to unzip the patch. Tried WinRar and WinZip. Can anyone send me a good version?? Thanks!
EDIT: Prob seems to be Firefox and only with the forum filebase. Used Opera and it downloaded without errors. Any suggestions anybody?? Thanks! |

We can use the new pack category to hold the proposed revision-numbered pack which will contain waypoints to be released in the future. |
Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
All files cleaned up - except that it deleted mp_beach too, so you need to upload it again. :(

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
i had no probs with the download... installed on server and client all good

Re: Listen Up, Everybody!
