podbot worked 2 days ago
 
yep my podbots was working for like 2 days ago, but after i restarted the server and the steam updated something. The server crashes after loading metamod plugin, "podbot_i386.so" When i remove the podbot_i386.so from plugins.ini everything works fine. So my conclution is that steam did some update that dont like the podbotxx.so file. But since i liked it so much i wonder if there is any solution to this problem.

You may need to wait for some linux users. I have windows and it works. Try to use maybe the latest metamod (1.18). Maybe it will help You.

i have tried about 3 diffrent versions even the latest posted today on amxmodx website. And all creashes when i add podbot to metamod ini file.

Actually ran into that problem in windows long time ago with the different metamods. However, I just had to get the normal metamod. Now there is a new Metamod out, Metamod-P 1.19 which is a more optimized version than the original and haven't tested it out with podbot. I'm a windows user, can't help you more than that. =/

Iis there so few linux users with bots :(
Any help/tips on this issue is very welcome.

Try this way - remove all plugins from metamod's plugins.ini and start the game with clean podbot mm only.

Btw i run 3 servers on the same box 27015 27016 27017 if that could have something to do with it. But the podbot dont work on any of them. I have tried everything. I must have been something to do with that steam update, since it worked before the update.

Try to download R2B46d fullpack again and make a fresh installation of podbot. Then run it, but only as one server at one PC-box. And as only one mm plugin and let me know if it works or still it doesn't.

Yep i did download that package and installed it as a clean install, without removing my other 2 running servers. And it did WORK! Damn i must have used an old version of podbot or some corrupt files somewhere. But now it works. Could it have something to do with my editing of botchat&botnames before? Is there a maxlimit on comments and names etc?

For bot names it's the limit for 32 characters for one name.
For bot chats:
# Also be sure that a Line doesn't exceed 80 chars
# (including carriage return)
These are only limits I know. Now You can narrow the problem doing some liitle changes in these files - step by step.

try to remove -pingboost 3 (do not use it at all)

it fixed my issues with crashing linux binaries (i used pingboost 1)

I am using a different metamod... the one supplied with the most recent admin mod version. I am a windows user and I'm wondering if you have podbot working without crashing at all. SO far with v1.17.2.0 my game session in my server lasts around 10 minutes before that typical windows error message appears.

nope, no luck. maybe a recent steam update has caused a need for a patch or new podbot version.
