Can't upload attachments
I'm trying to upload some completed waypoints but I keep getting an "upload of file failed" error. I've tried .zip and .txt files, all well within the size limits, including some that I've uploaded previously -- all fail. I'm logged in and the "posting rules" window indicates that I am allowed to post attachments. Anyone else having the same problem?

Re: Can't upload attachments
check this thread:
http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=4907 maybe Mal can setup / request a waypoint section in the filebase: http://filebase.bots-united.com/ |
Re: Can't upload attachments
Yeah, I found this thread when I searched the forum for anything related to attachments. I couldn't make hide nor hair of it -- couldn't see how it related to why I couldn't upload a small zip file as an attachment to a posting as I'd been able to do in the past.

Re: Can't upload attachments
From what I understand, filebase uploading is screwed up too. I'll check with the BU server admins and try to see whats going on.

Re: Can't upload attachments
I've got two completed maps to go and the f0x has three, but we still can't upload attachments to a posting.
The Waypoint Depository needs to be updated, too. |
Re: Can't upload attachments
I know its frustrating - we've all been VERY busy with the Fritz ET demo and have slacked on other things.
I've asked the BU admins about the filebase - hopefully if we can get that working, you can use that. Sadly, I have no control over anything BU related (just my own little webpage), so it means I can only do so much. If I don't hear from the BU admins about the filebase in a couple days, I'll just have you send them to me and I'll upload them somewhere (or maybe, if hes not busy, CrapShoot can stick them on his waypoint page). Cheers! |
Re: Can't upload attachments
Try using the filebase - I'm told it works now.

Re: Can't upload attachments
Email them to me if the filebase doesn't work. Eventually I plan on moving all of the waypoints from the repository to there.

Re: Can't upload attachments
I managed to get them into the filebase. Should I place my previously-released files there also?
|
Re: Can't upload attachments
It would be nice - just to have them all in one area. :)

Re: Can't upload attachments
I uploaded 2 of Denny's maps that he was nice enough to let me tweak a bit; Chateau and Depot.
I'll get the rest of 420Blunt and I's waypoints there tomorrow. It's a bit of a process to get them uploaded, but a better solution than the current waypoint repository. |
Re: Can't upload attachments
Sheesh! Now I can't get into the filebase. It won't display the "file add" botton anymore! I'm logged in, too.
|
Re: Can't upload attachments
Hmm, I can't either. Used to be a control panel link, but it's not there anymore.
EDIT: Ahh, there is a member login link at the bottom of the page. It seems that the forum login and the filebase login are seperate |
Re: Can't upload attachments
Yeah, I just figured that out, too! Got my four maps up there now -- I'll tell the f0x about it too.

Re: Can't upload attachments
The filebase is down again. Now I get this message:
Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user 'filebase'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/bots-united.com/filebase/public_html/includes/mysql.php on line 63 paFileDB was unable to successfully connect to the MySQL database. Check your settings including the MySQL server, username, and password and try again. Will they ever get this fixed so we can have a reliable way to access our files? :cursing: |
Re: Can't upload attachments
Wiki and filebase are back up - just checked.

Re: Can't upload attachments
The filebase seems to be working today. Thanks to whoever got it running! I'm gonna add some pretty screenshots to my waypoint file listings. :chef:
