WIP #7 problem
I just updated & RB is still having problems with the latest adminmod. I got the following errors;
#1 "The instruction at "0x01402f37" referenced memory at "0x0126448c". The memory could not be "read" #2 is the one about AM's plugin.ini file needing to be defined but it's is. Any ideas? Disregard this. I guess I wasn't using the latest AM which I thought I switch to but all works fine now & bots r joining :) |
Re: WIP #7 problem
Actually, I do have a concern. The bots keep getting kicked due to inactivity. is this a problem or is there a way to fix it? The bots don't seem to be doing anything.

Re: WIP #7 problem
WIP #7 is failing after map change - same problem we had with WIP #6. In that case, the patched metamod seemed to cause the problem. In this case, I'm running the regular metamod.

Re: WIP #7 problem
you know, i actually get more nuts that i don't have a problem with map changing and others do. I tested this shit with CS 1.5, CS 1.6, both on DS and LISTEN. They all worked okay. Perhaps its my stupid WINDOWS?

Re: WIP #7 problem
Actually... IT could be something more ominous.....
Somewhere else in this forum you'll see a post of mine that on a dedicated server, bots were not automatically joining, even though RB was in the META LIST. I have since discovered the reason for this.... If the last line in your autoexec.cfg is a 'map <mapname>' command (without the quotes) , then the bot.cfg file is not parsed. I am not sure if this is metamod / amx / rb / steam that this is a side effect of. As soon as I removed the 'map <mapname>' command from the autoexec.cfg file, the bot.cfg file was parsed and bots joined automatically as before (how stupid of me not to pick this up earlier). Anyways, BEFORE I tried removing the ''map <mapname>' from the autoexcec.cfg file, I tried something else that worked as well (which I did not do before). Copy the bot.cfg file into your cstrike folder (same folder that liblist.gam is in), and then for a dedicated server, add 'exec bot.cfg' (without the quotes) as the last line in the server.cfg file. For a listen server, it is not required for some reason. Maybe a workaround for bots not joining after map change is to add the 'exec bot.cfg' command (without the quotes) to the end of the server.cfg file, as this file gets executed after every map change. I agree with Stefan about RB working with map changes. For your info, I use the following setup - HLDS (Latest Steam Version) AMX Mod 0.9.3 RealBot WIP#7 Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition |
Re: WIP #7 problem
My bots join fine after a map change, but they don't do anything then get kicked for being idle. Any ideas?
Correction, only 2 bots are joining after a map change & the rb_addbot 1 2 5 "Penner" cmd isn't working. I even tried rb_addbot 2 to no avail. |
Re: WIP #7 problem
the wip version has a new command set, so you cannot use rb_addbot... are you sure you use WIP #7?
|
Re: WIP #7 problem
Yes I am sure, I dled it last night which actually got me up & running.
What is the command then if that one doesn't work? |
Re: WIP #7 problem
in the progress thread you can see the full list of commands, in short the format is:
realbot <command> <argument> <argument> etc... to add a bot realbot add to remove a bot realbot remove <amount> <of team (optional)> |
Re: WIP #7 problem
Yea that's it. I remember seeing that command the other day. Thx.

Re: WIP #7 problem
WIP #7 the bots kick them self out and just add ct bots back. This is very annoying.

Re: WIP #7 problem
I have my realbots max 0 in my bot.cfg but i am still getting bots added on mapchange. Anyone know why this is happening?
