Whats with all the serious quotes?
------------- "A word of advice... The path to knighthood is paved with strength and nobility, not LSD and sideburns." - Will Farrell as the black knight |
Re: Favourite Quotes
Serious is no good? Then heres a couple quotes from my 5 years of LAN parties, we've always kept a big text file of them. Alcohol may or may not have had an influence on some of them, I can't remember.
"Windows XP is having an idiocy moment." "Hold on, I've got geek grundge on my mouse." "I hate the internet. Ignorance _was_ bliss." |
Re: Favourite Quotes
Well, i was gonna quote marx, but i see you've already done that, creusson... which warms my heart :D
Never knew einstein was a socialist... that's pretty cool. I can't quite follow this anarchist fellow... He is construction a picture of god blended from the old and the new testament, which is two opposite stories with different values and two alltogether different gods. let me instead quote another philosopher i really like: Quote:

Re: Favourite Quotes
"The ultimate determinant in the struggle now going on for the world will not be bombs and rockets but a test of wills and ideas-a trial of spiritual resolve: the values we hold, the beliefs we cherish and the ideals to which we are dedicated."
"Freedom is the right to question and change the established way of doing things. It is the continuous revolution of the marketplace. It is the understanding that allows to recognize shortcomings and seek solutions." "We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look." "When I've heard all I need to make a decision, I don't take a vote. I make a decision." and finally... "Every time Catherine turns on the microwave, I piss my pants and forget who I am for a half an hour." |

Re: Favourite Quotes
"There is a theory that states that if we ever discover the truth about the universe, it will immediatly be destroyed and replaced by something even more complex and confusing.
There is another theory that this has already happened" "People commonly agreed that coming down from the trees was a mistake. Others were of the opinion that the trees had been a bad idea, and that mankind should never have left the oceans." "This planet has, or rather had, a problem. It was this: Most of the inhabitants were unhappy for pretty much most of the time. Even the ones with digital watches. Various soultions to this problem had been suggested, most of which involved the movements of small green bits of paper which was strange, because on the whole, it wasn't the pieces of paper that were unhappy." |
