Help Please!
 

hi, im new to this page and i must first of all compliment u on ur guys's nice website and forums. I recently dled ur bot and installed it (current version), but when i go to play new game i have to click new game twice on the cs main part and then when the loading box appears my cs crashes, i can play cs online but my newgame option must be clicked twice to get the loading box up and then it crashes. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.(btw the bot i dled was E[POD]bot.)

Did you run any mods with E[POD]bot. Please tell me more about the problem.

ok, first of all thanks to responding, now let me tell u the WHOLE STORY. Ok my friend has this mod and i saw it and i thougth it looked pretty awesome his menus and everything works perfect for him. So we dled it on my computer and it worked after finding the rite place to put in which was when we later found the cstrike folder. Later last night i uninstalled E[POD]bot because the menu wouldn't work when i hit 'p' i got the whole #1menu_#2menu thing im sure that you are familiar with. so i uninstalled and delted it, then i re-dled E[POD]bot and now i cant even start a new game to see if the bot will work with the menu.

if you are using CS 1.6 (Steam):
delete liblist.gam, start a game and reinstall the bot

you also need this file if you are using Steam:

so i just uninstall then reinstall, delete that one file and then dl that file? and where do i put that dled file? ( i hope im not being just annoying to you guys, and ur help is very much so appreciated)

ok, i have more info. i just tried to open a new game on DOD and Half Life and it made a new server perfect without any problems, i think this might help narrow down some answers. Again the problem is that it wont let me create a game on cs, and i have to click 'start' 2 times then the loading box appears, no loading yellow blocks appear and then my screen goes black and then im back to my desktop.

put that titles.txt file in your cstrike folder

also you first need to delete your cstrike\liblist.gam file, then create a game and reinstall the bot.

Heyyo,

Yeah, your liblist.gam file is probably got probs.. just delete it. It's located in your cstrike folder. After that don't worry, cs will create a new one. So then just start up a server. If it fails then? it might not be the bot causing problems..

good news! i got it to work so i can start a new game but its like the bot is installed wrong when i hit 'p' the menu doesn't come up not even #1menu_#2menu thingy, and there are no bots, i think most of the problem has been solved, atleast i can make a new game now, i just need help with getting the actual bot to work.

You are install the bots correct. To get the menus to work you must download the file that Whistler show you(the link). After that run the EPB configurator(located in your cstrike\EPODbot folder). Choose the languarge that you want for menus and chat, click save and all must be OK.

hey guys, um....i tried to do what marv did with editign the liblist.gam and i accidentally opened it up with microsoft word and then i deleted it cause it changed to a word document but now it just came back again as a word document! is this ok? i need a full run down on what exactly to do. I can make new games now!

hi guys!!, awesoem news! i finally got it to work out, i ended up altaring the file in notepad.
and then it worked perfect with the menus too!, the only problem is that they speak in german, but i just need to go to reconfigure file, but i can do that tomorrow.

right, hello everyone, this is my first post....i have the same problem as they guy above i think,for 4 days now i have been trying to get bots to work on my dedicated server but i havent been able to...i downloaded epod bot and it works absolutely fine in a LAN game,i had the same problem as the man above when it took me straight back to my desktop,but that is sorted now.....anyway,my point is i have metamod and amx installed on my dedicated server and i cant get the bots to work,i tried to jus tstart a game and wait as suggested ,but nothing happened,then i tried installing the epodbot to my dedicatedserver/cstrike folder and that never worked,finally i tried changing my directory to the one which was suggested but the the server wouldnt even load,i think i am doing something very wrong!!!!

You all look very helpfull in here and i was kind of hoping you may help me out with a (lets call it) 'idiots guide to installing epodbot to your dedicated server' as you kind of lost me above when you started using all linlist terms etc. :S Thanks lot...(if you help that is :P)
