Metamod + Statsme + Bot?
Hello folks, I have read very much threads on almost every webpage that exists but I can't just get it to work.
Tell me which information you need to help me and I'll give it. Here is some basic stuff: liblist.gam = read-only and gamedll is linked to metamod's dll file. plugins.ini = win32 addons/statsme/dlls/statsme_mm.dll win32 "C:/Program Files/Steam/SteamApps/mymail/counter-strike/RealBot/dll/realbot_mm.dll" When I start a game and I press = or H to get into the menu and try to add a bot, nothing happens. I checked the console and it gives and unknown command error. I hope somebody can get me it to work. (it's for a listen server) |

Wrong could be that you have stated Realbot like that
when it should be (I think) win32 ../realbot/dll/realbot_mm.dll in the plugins.ini Realbot wip does not have a menu. type in console Realbot for commands. |

Hi,
Make sure that you have: bind "h" "+commandmenu" in your config.cfg. Then make sure you have the latest commandmenu, you can get it from filebase. Also make sure you have the latest realbot_mm.dll .... it's a bit confusing with different dates and stuff in the filebase but the latest WIP is there... I think :-) |

win32 addons/podbot/dlls/podbot_mm.dll
this in you plugins.ini and the dll from podbot mm. They are okay in terms of messing around but don't act as human in some cases as Realbot. Remember do not diss untill you have tried properly. Both bots need waypoints to work. In your case for realbot you need to make sure you have the correct directory layout then just munch about the map and the bots will follow you until there is enough diversity of routes |

I have made waypoints for a bunch of maps with the bsp2rbn.exe tool. Tell me wich maps you want and I'll put up a link for you. But all you have to do really to get them start fraggin you is run around the map and make sure you visit both spawns, and bombspots with both T and CT .. Then they have learned the map from you ;)
Or you can dl the bsp2rbn.exe and do it for yourselfe :D |

Okay, I tried what lethal says and it worked, but I downloaded the All In One and that works very good, with AMX + Statsme + Metamod and PODBot MM.
But now my last question is, is there a good bot for metamod? Because PODBot isn't that realistic, I have to go to spawn sites to make them move, I want a good bot that moves immediately, the old PODBot 2.5 without metamod did that perfectly. Can somebody recommend me a good bot or tell me how to get PODBot MM moving immediately (waypoints? gimme?8) ). Thankx |

This is typtically a user who does not read how RB works, but go ahead and find yourself a new bot. At the end there are many people who are happy with it :P

There are various threads about this; the principle is simple. On any map that bots did not walk on yet, you load it up. You do NOT add bots, but simply wander around, go to every spot. And then you can add bots the next round after you finished with walking around. Bots should walk , they always did. If this did not work properly, i would get flooded with "What the heck is this" mails. But i don't.
I thought there was a waypoint pack for this even, at the filebase. For a start, i'd say try de_dust, easy map to walk around with, one round needed to visit every location of the map, and after that you could try if it works good for you, and if you like it. If not, there are plenty of alternatives on the bot scene. |

dunno about realbot for this, but if you add the bots already when there are no waypoints, they might have some primitive nav system for creating the waypoints themselves by running around ...
