How to get AMX and podbot mm together to work
 

hi im new to this forum and i need help installing bots i have a listen server... i have all the commads for it but no bots so can u give me the downlaod site for the pod bot (if works ) and if theres a installion guide for it can u also give me that plz... THNX!

All info I mean - windows/linux, listenserver/dedicated, metamod version (number), other plugins (list and versions), podbot_mm version. Write also in console:
meta list
and copy and paste what You can see.
Then describe with all details how did You install podbot (where, what directory, what directory inside podbot folder etc). :)

i have windows, its a listenserver, Metamod version 1.17.1,

Currently loaded plugins:

so all i have to do is follow that site ... do i still need amx bot commads for me and my friends who r admin? and the metamod site doesnt work ...is there any other site

i mean i installed these pluigins -> admin_bots, botcontrol, amx_bot_manager, votebot... do i still need these pluigns

I never used them. You need to install podbot according to that instruction I showed You the link. Then - in the game - push "=" to call podbotmenu (or You can make another bind - look into podbot.cg file). From podbotmenu You can do all basic commands You need to control Your bots. Some other are possible to write in console with "pb" prefix (without quotes). For example:
pb max_bots 10

first i put this line in the plugins(in metamod directory) -> win32 addons/podbot/podbot_mm.dll and now it looks like this:

then i went to my cstrike and found the file liblist.gam and change gamedll "dlls\mp.dll" to gamedll
"addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" so now the file in there looks like this--->

and after i downloaded podbotR2b1 and installed it in addons folder and after i download podbotBETA replaces the dll file like it said ( on this site:http://forums.bots-united.com/showpo...25&postcount=2) and that it i went to create a server the map waz assault

Do You have in ...cstrike/addons/podbot directory the folder named wptdefault? If so - You need to change (if You are using Steam CS1.6) the name of files:
de_aztec(CS 1.6).pwf -> de_aztec.pwf
de_cbble(CS 1.6).pwf -> de_cbble.pwf
de_piranesi(CS 1.6).pwf -> de_piranesi.pwf

and delete all *.pvi files (but don't delete *.pwf files!!!).

Are sure You are using some latest (R2B44 or R2b43) build of podbot_mm.dll?
Disable for the moment amx (in metamod/plugins.ini - comment out all lines corresponding to amx by semicolon at the begining of the lines - ";").

there already a file called de_aztec.pwf, de_cbble.pwf
de_piranesi.pwf so i cant rename it so wat do i do and wheres the .pvi files?

No - these files with names like You listed above are for CS1.5. For CS1.6 You need to rename these with (CS1.6) in the name by overwrite these You can see now. *pvi files should be also in wptdefault directory.

so i have to do is delete de_cbble.pwf ,de_piranesi.pwf
de_aztec.pwf and keep the 1 that has 1.6 on it

Yeah. Delete them and rename these with (CS1.6).
Tell me what is the date creation of Your podbot_mm.dll file?

OK - It's R2B43. You cab see this in meta list (if Your cs will not crash). Did You try again start CS without amx but with metamod and podbot_mm only?

metamod directory - the file plugins.ini - only this line:

win32 addons/podbot/podbot_mm.dll

you never should have put that line in amx's files..
podbotmm is a METAMOD plugin.. not some amx plugin..
