Moderators for the EPB forum
 

Heyyo,

Ok guys, since LN seems to be the only official moderator for the EPB forum, and he won't be around often, I would like to start a poll to see if me/and THE_STORM can be changed to official moderators for the EPB forum too.

I'm the main waypointer for E[POD]bot, and current beta-tester.

THE_STORM is the new coder for E[POD]bot.

So, vote away guys. ;)

but since you're here very often you qualify too :D

I'm agree for MarD 100%. But this new guy - maybe we need first see if he is really working for this bot - for example give him moderators priviliges after when we will see he really released new bot dll? Someone can say - but at BU after joining new bot coders with their bots all coders received these priviliges instantly, so why not the same law for all bot coders? My answer is this: yes - it's true, but they were really coders before for their bots and they "negotiated" with PMB before their joined to BU, so they were more trustable. THE_STORM maybe will be a good coder , too - but if I was reading good some thread about continuing LN bot - he is just starting coding. I don't know if we can trust him immediately. That's why I'm voting for MarD only, I can vote for THE_STORM later, when I'll see his new release. 9_9

right now almost all bot coders got instant mod as soon as they signed up to be a part of BU.. so it's only fair he gets the same treatment...

too bad I absolutely hate MarD :D j/k

Most bot authors got access because they delivered some work. I havent seen some work of this new coder, so i wont vote yet. I think MarD is okay, but i wait to cast my vote after i see some work of this new coder.

NP stephan, I understand you and KWo's concern. If you check out the EPB progress thread I made he's working pretty hard to get EPB ready for the next release, he just needs to correct some errors.

To make You and/or THE_STORM moddies - doesn't matter how many other moderators will vote. To take the decision need the majority of Councils (at least 3/5) or - if they don't want to vote - than decision of Mr. President (if I correctly interpret the law here ;) ).

Well thats the case on major issues / new hosting...
I don't think there is a official rule to take on an local section moderators.

I think that just depends more on the section owner than on other BOT section moderators. How ever council members do have veto over this when they reach majority. It's also not recommended that a section owner can take on as much modders as he wants. But when all is done in common sence and maturity then i think a section owner can take on modders by him self if council approves

ok, that's understandable. THE_STORM just needs to fix 1 more prob I found, sometimes the bots don't shoot in Cs 1.6... we fixed the menu problems, and the min/max bot skill problems (turns out by default it set it to 200, and for the menu's it diddn't default to english, so it was a quick fix.) after this final fix the bot should be ready for release. So maybe 4 more days, after that you can decide if the section owner should be changed to THE_STORM. Oh, and I added the french translation of the bot done by the bishop* over at nukeclearbox, I guess LN lost it or never got it. so don't worry bishop*, I've got your back. ;)

Seems the condition for making THE_STORM as moddie fulfilled (he released new dll) - so maybe now these Councils not voting yet can decide something? ;)

Aright, we've made summore changes, and we're still wonderin' how goes this whole moddie thing. There's already a few of the moddies voted for both (btw thanks for voting guys :)) but we need summore council members to vote, like, @$3.1415rin, botmeister, and stefanhendriks.

and also, we were wondering if we could get some webspace too? cause like, LN currently has the only access to his epb site, n' like, he vanishes at weeks/months at a time.. so updating there is like, hard. I'm gonna get THE_STORM to read the joining bots united page (http://www.bots-united.com/joining-rules.php) cause I've read it over a few times, so he might as well read it at least once if he hasn't already. :P

2 new parts added to E[POD]bot are full shield support (thanks to PMB for helping), and the bots now pickup better pistols (w00t! been waiting for this inna PODbot mod since I first saw wbot doing this ;)).

right now, THE_STORM is using a freewebs site like me, and we can only upload like, files that are less than 1MB, so like, we may need to split up our files if we want to make some bigger changes, which like sucks. :P

i voted both of them only because i know that the EPB is in need for a new coder and i trust Mar-d to be able to trust the other guy o_O trust me it makes sense!

w00t! thanks everyone for voting, now that we have BU's full support on E[POD]bot I bet this will be a great morale boost for THE_STORM knowin that he's not recognized by BU. :D

Take it easy, the new vesion of E[POD]bot maybe will be complete of the end of this week.:D After I fix some bugs with buying I will release the new version of the bots.Uff and one more think --- I have a problems with the file base>:( .
