SZ_getspace error
 

Used search option but didn't find anything. While running PODbot on my server (r2b43) I get the following error every so often.

I also get this error from time to time, isnt that command an adminmod command only? ???:( or am I just confused again . . . . . .

remove all plugins except pbmm and if it doesn't show that error then it isn't the bots causing it...
to narrow down the the cause enabled the plugins one at a time until it shows up again..
then after you find out which plugin is causing it you can ask the plugin's author to fix it..

This is a common and know error to steam. Its basically saying that either you have too much stuff running or your comp cant handle it. Try optimizing some the commands but also try reduing the bots, the most bots my server is set to is 3 and thats when theres 1 player. The average amount is either 0 or 2. I forgot where my post was about it but dont worry about ti unless it keeps comming up. Be sure to also compile all the custom plugins your self instead of webcompilers as well, and try to use stable versions of modules, not WIPs.

I'm almost sure (99%) it's amxmodx causing this problem You have. Disable it first and check if podbot mm still work for You with other mm plugins You have. Then report here, if amxmodx was my good hit. :)

Changed it back to R2b45, had only changed back to R2b46a recently as I had forgotten why I had changed it back down to R2b45 in the first place. Must remember and keep notes as to why I do these things. o_O So far I have not seen this error again but then it takes a few days til I saw it the last time. I'll post back in a week and let you know.

I do compile my plugins and have had little problem with them except for a bug or two in the Roll The Dice plugin. As that my favourite plugin to blame, I've removed it too. If the error is not repeated, I'm going to put back R2b46a and see how that runs for a week. Then I'll add Dice and see it thats it. Thanks for your help. 8)

i too would say its AMXMODX simply because i went through this problem and the only way i found to get rid of uit...was to not use amxmodx :)

btw...you guys are really doing a great job on the bot, and the site and its docs are VERY well written. Congrats to those who did that.

About amxmodx (and amx) - I can say only it's not all these mods are bad. Some plugins are bad written. I found my-self few of them (including also default ones) I should 've to re-writte them to get them to correct work (including also work with bots). But these mods are great and cool for me. :)

Right a weeks testing over, I have not seen this error repeated at all this week. R2B46 - bots jumping on guns they want and not picking them up. CT bots not finding their way to the bombsite when the bombs ticking. AWP bots actually killing people (you should hear the people moan about it). All the good stuff from a good bot (could be better but that will come in time) I am not sure what to think now, I'll put back in Dice and see what happens.

if i see it correctly the only thing we three people have incommon(?) is podbot_mm


this crach usually hapens to me like 1 round after a map change (mostly if the server had a lot of people playing in it)

If I see it correctly, the other thing You have incommon is some mod writting a lot of info to the client at round start, at server joining, at round end etc. I'm talking about StatsMe and AMX (Amx mod X). :)

Yeah - they crash a lot with bots, but because they are bad wriiten. They (these plugins) wants to execute some commands on bots, impossible to execute at them.

another thing that everyone with this problem has in common is that podbotmm is not the first plugin on the list..
I think putting podbotmm first in metamod's plugins.ini will help fix the problem..

watch out for plugins that send messages to clients without checking if they're bots or not..

I had already pared down my configs as much as possible. I had also cut down on the Stats reports etc to avoid this error. The reason I replied to this thread in the first place as it was only the Pod_mm.dll I had changed. I'm giving PB_MM a clean bill of health for this particular error, as it has not been repeated since removing a plugin that I had suspicions about. Now, I think I'll go spam the Amxmodx Plugin forums. My thanks to those who have replied.

R2B46B - is there a new one out, I've still got R2B46.

Dice amx, which, if you fogive the pun, has always been dicey :P

So thats my problem fixed, dont know about the others getting sz_getspace apart from the "heavy" stats perhaps. :|

Oh and I have to put Hostitron as the first plugin. It does not like being 2nd or later. I found R2B46B but will not use it in my server. I tried out the bots new weapon mode but it didn't work. As least the knife fights didn't happen anyway in weapon mode one. Think I'll wait for the release version!

I have made the upgrade from metamod 1.17.4 to 1.17.4p21. I have changed AMXmodx 1.00 to AMXmodx 1.01. This has greatly increased the stability of my server overall. The dice plugin is still binned and I also got the sz_getspace error with photo.amxx. I've removed it and will not bother trying to fix it. I had in Boost 2.4 but as that affects the botaim, I've removed it again. 2 weeks and still no serious crashes (Firedaemon can restart after the minor ones).

You may want to try and reduce some of your stats events. I did.
