There was a post the other day from Gabe Newells account that said that HL2 was going gold monday.
Turns out some joker guessed that Newells account password was "gaben" and posted it as a hoax. :D Jeez - I think I found the weak link in Valve's computer security, and why they were hacked last year: you don't use your own name as a password. 9_9 Wonder how many other accounts he has that use gaben?? My password would need to be brute forced cracked. It is not a number or letter or name or a combination. It is random. Well, I just thought up a bunch of letters and numbers and decided whether to use caps in certain places.
That's how it is supposed to be. PMB, 30 characters!? Damn! It'd probably be faster to search through the source code of OpenBSD for a security hole to break root than to crack that. |

what about using a password which is mixed with capital letters, small letters, numbers and signs ? basically 7-8 characters is enough I think |

What I do is take two words, mix them together, and throw a number on the end. ie:
Moo + Mall = Malloo62 Things like that are a lot easier to remember than compeltely random letters. |

I don't know my passwords!
No shitting! I play keyboards, and my passwords are formed by certain fingers, right and left hands, order, and movement on the keyboard. I Literally can't tell you my passwords and they are not written down anywhere... It is sort of like playing a rif on the keyboard to get in, and they are very fast to type once you get the hang of it! LOL |
