Any progress on United Bot?
 

Hi folks,

today I decided to take a look here at the forums again to see what progress you made. But it seams, there is no progress on this ambigious project :|. Or did I miss the whole thing?

Darf ich dich mal hier fragen ob die Calimero anhänger weiter am leben bleiben.......irgendwie scheint es so das viele CS sachen total kaputt gehen in letzter zeit........sachen die durch das ganze "kaputt gehen" von den letzten 2 jahren in der scene, eigentlich noch geblieben sind........wie FAW........

geht das auch kaputt?

We're taking a break from all activities, it's summer and our interests have changed in the past few month. Hopefully we find back to our previous enthusiasm for the game.

hl 2 'presumably' goes gold on monday the 30th. But.. it could be a hoax. http://www.csnation.net for ur news.

HL2 is available to download at Steam now, but it's said that things available is just the texture/materials and not the actual program

i don't want to say something bad but..... is anybody alive here?, all of you(united bot coders) should start doing a beta for HL1(for me, please) and when HL2 SDK get's out all of you shuld start the "real" bot(mi opinion) (if you do this, you should put a lot of work in the first part, becouse there are people(me) that can't use steam, and will only have HL1)(if all of you are alredy working on the bot, i can only say one thing:..... sorry.......
oh, and can you tell us the progress?(if there is some progress)

No progress as far as I know.

There are plenty of HL1 bots out there. If you can't find one that you like for the MOD you play, chances are that there won't be a better one for that MOD in the future. If there is a better one in the future, it will be MANY, MANY, MANY months (or years) away.

thanks botman, but..... in reality i only play CS(alredy finished HL) and i'll can't buy CS Source(or HL2:'( ) it'll be good to have the firsts versions of the best bot:D ,

I forgot to say it, everyone working in The United Bot, all of you should start to tell us your progress(if you are progressing, please, progress8D )

We would love to, but since our bot will be based on HL² and its mods we need to understand the internals of the game engine, how it works and get used to it before coding anything. That's why we are all waiting for the HL² SDK. Don't hold your breath, nothing usable will be out until a good couple months :)

perhaps its not a bad idea to get a very basic barebones stuff working for HL1. Not even for CS , just to see it works and spawns.

Even more cooler would be a botbrain.dll and a gamedriver.dll ;)

I have this, I'm polishing it up and I'll send it to whoever asks (the United Admins are interested with this framework too).
