Help with RB Installer
 

hi,
i installed RB WIP several times and got all Problems listed in this Forum... I tried all possibilities to fix the Probs but i didn`t get it... I also tried reinstalling an redownloading CS 1.6 and Steam but nothing worked..
I played with Realbot in earlier days, too, and got many versions runnin' myself; so i use to think i`m an advaneced user. But Steam told me the truth: the good old times are gone and Steam gets us all...
Can someone with the newest working 'Realbot Windows Installer' post me his/her liblist.gam , plugins.ini and all the other things i have to change?

Counterstrike shuts down with the read error message or without any errormessageses

Please help :(

Yes i did... i also tried all the other install helps in the forum... but the Bot won't work... The game crashes by klicking on the start button for my server...

i hope to find the mistake if someone posts me the working files... if that doesn't help i have to wait until the next version... :(

Dedicated or Listenserver?
Well i don't know but it sounds as if you need to start the server without realbot once, before adding realbot.
If it is a listenserver try removing the readonly from your liblist.gam and start a new game. Once in the game just shut it down and make sure to edit the gamedll row in your liblist.gam to point to --->
gamedll "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod.dll"
And if it's any help I'll add my liblist.gam and plugins.ini. (just remove the .txt if you want to use them yourselfe)
start the server again and it should work.

try and change your liblist.gam at the line where it says gamedll. change that to gamedll "dlls\mp.dll" save it and start up a listen server in cs so it extracts the mp.dll to your dlls directory. now quit the game and change it back to gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" and see if it works if it doesnt try using the RB WIP Installer again now and then try again.

Nothing works... So i`ll wait for the next Release and keep on tryin' to start my listen-server with my favorite bot that doesn`t work for me :'(

ARGH......
I got the error... the Bot doesn't work if u have a userconfig.cfg ...
Why hates it the userconfig? :RTFM:>:(:(:'(???:(

Without my userconfig the bot works really good...

It's definitely NOT a problem with userconfig.cfg....

The bot won't look at that, I'm sure of it, I'm reading the source code right now.


You probably didn't have the right version of MetaMod installed, MM not installed properly, RealBot AI (instead of WIP) installed onto MM, RB WIP in the wrong folder, liblist.gam not edited, or another simple step missed/misread.

I have installed WIP in the right folder.. editet the liblist.gam and so on... evereything is right... but if i add my userconfig.cfg into the Cstrike folder the Listen-server crashes by clicking on the start button... When i delete the userconfig.cfg it works fine...
Maybe that the bot doesn't scan for this, but than it has to be a setting in the userconfig... i only know that it works well without the userconfig...

could you post yoru userconfig.cfg then? so we can see if there are any settings or if we can duplicate it? I just installed the WIP installer then downloaded the newest WIP dll and put it in the folder and everything is working just fine. I do not have a userconfig.cfg though, so maybe if I try yours I can duplicate it and see why it's happening...

ARGH....
Stone me to death... I own up to be the silliest RealBot user on earth... I looked through my userconfig and found the mistake:

It's a very old and stupid outrage... I used to have the PodBot installed and this Bot put something into my config... After a cupple of Months without offline playing i just copied everything into the userconfig without looking through... I am repent using another Bot than the one and only Realbot.. Hope to find remission for that :(:(:(
