I created WP and it won't save?
 

I created waypoints for de_dust2 and after doing "waypoint end" and "precalculating" in the upper portion of my screen, I search my comp for any .rbw and there seems to be none? Wtf?

Oh and btw, I could add bots, but after I leave game it says "Cant add bots, map is not waypointed"

First of all:

What version of CS are you playing?
What version of RB?
What system?
Please tell us the COMPLETE Path to your "cstrike"-Directory and to your "RealBot"-directory...

And what do you mean with the "Map not waypointed"-msg AFTER you LEAVE the game?? don't understand...

Normally, if you have a map without WPTs, than you CANNOT add bots, because there is no WPT-info.

If you add WPTs then with "waypoint add" and then "waypoint end", the RBW-file should be generated - you can find it in your "RealBot\data\maps"-directory.

Well, 1.6,Newest version of RB:AI.

And while I'm in game I make waypoints, type waypoint end in console, it does the precalculating thing, but it doesnt really save. I can still play as long as I leave CS on, but after I leave I cant find it any directory.

What could be problem? And when I add .rbw files to my data\cstrike\maps it still says no waypoints, and I need to keep creating a new one each time I load my game.

no wonder, your install dir should be:
C:\program-files\steam\steamapps\(email address)\counter-strike\realbot

your install path is not how it should be, therefor RB cannot find its dir to save to and will fail saving the file.

Hello Irifrit!

You did the same mistake as I did in the beginning - just move your "RealBot"-dir in your "counterstrike"-folder, not your "cstrike"-folder, and everything's gonna be OK. Check your LIBLIST.GAM for the correct changes and set it Read-Only in the properties and now everything should be OK.

Funny thing, that your RB functions nevertheless... ???:(

Guys, but when I move it to "counter-strike" How do I load the dll? Because in lblist.gam it automatically adds C:\program files\steam\steamapps\email\counter-strike\cstrike before what I enter.

so if I enter \realbot\dll\realbot.dll it will come out as C:\program files\steam\steamapps\email\counter-strike\cstrike\realbot\dll\realbot.dll.

Yes if you had : realbot\dll\realbot.dll in your liblist.gam
Write this: ..\realbot\dll\realbot.dll

you need to put a .. infront of your path. This will let HL search one step 'up'

so:
C:\program files\steam\steamapps\email\counter-strike\cstrike

is where liblist.gam will be, by using .. you go UP one level:

C:\program files\steam\steamapps\email\counter-strike\

after that you can just insert the path realbot\dll\realbot.dll

so in your liblist.gam you should have:

..\realbot\dll\realbot.dll

i did the same thing i had the realbot folder in my metamod addons folder and everything worked fine except that it wont save exp or waypoints i moved it to counter-strike and no i cant get metamod to load the .dll. How do i tell metamod where it is at?

ok i got it all to work moved my realbot folder to counter-strike metamod loads everything bots join fine. They learn to move around and everything but it still doesnt save. Another question real quick may not have anything to do with it but to get them to load i put the realbot_mm.dll in a realbot folder in my metamod folder to get it to work does this have anything do with my node saving problem? either way is this where it is supposed to go and if not can you tell me where and how to get metamod to run it (the realbot folder i created in the metamod folder has nothing but the driver in it)

realbot folder is in blah blah/my email/counter-strike/realbot
cs 1.6
using meanmod thats been modified and i downloaded it from one of the meanmod posts to get realbot to work so im not sure which version it didnt say and metamod 1.17 with statsme and pingbooster
