...to help us running the shop :)

We need people who agree to dedicate a bit of their time to a specific part of the organization. Don't worry, it's very simple things and it might be fun to do, too :)

First, we need a couple of chatty bitches (j/k) to put more noise in the offtopic forums. Post whatever you want. Jokes, flash games, funny stuff, rants, stupid polls, pics of your momma, whatever! And don't be shy: the more animation there is, the funnier it is to hang around :) We need a few people committed to put animation in Bots United when they feel there lacks some. Currently this forum is very quiet. If we put animation in it people will hang around more often and it will eventually fidelize some regulars. One funny thread a day ! (well, not necessarily, but you see the idea :D)

Second, we need one or two people committed to the wiki for correcting stuff here and there and adding new entries once something new appears on the forum. For example, if a bot coder explains something about his bot, it would be good to make a page in the wiki in the FAQ section of this bot (for example). It can be a lot of topics. The goal is to make people realize the wiki is a constantly evolving thing, so that they take the habit to edit it themselves. But before this, some people must do it.

We need one person to maintain the filebase too, so that people know who to ask if they find a dead link. That person would be an administrator in the filebase, reorganizing stuff when needed, and generally ensuring (globally, not in detail) that each thing is at the right place. If he finds a dead link, either fix it, contact the person who submitted the file if this person is known, or remove the file. He can also add screenshots to already existing programs and improve the file descriptions if he feels like it.

We also welcome Photoshop freaks who would want to reskin the BU site :) For this, just propose - imagine an example screenshot, post it around and wait for the comments :)

Are you fond of PHP ? You can help too... Nova is impatiently awaiting someone to have the time to migrate the forum to vBulletin 3 gold. And there's certainly a few things to tinker around in the process. You can also help a lot when something is broken with PHP on the server (for example, a bug in the filebase, or in the forum software...) You could even become the official PHP maintainer of Bots United :)

Currently all these tasks are done daily by one or two people, generally the council members who have time. All these tasks taken individually require little time and are fun to do (since they're mostly punctual), but cumulated together and repeated daily they quickly become exhausting! And we have a life too...
