Thanks for your "Bind"-tip to "solve" the COMMANDMENU-problem - good idea, which I could have had myself 9_9

Now I've surfed your new HP a little bit - nice, nice, indeed! I'm a little bit sad about the fact, that your old site has completely closed, cause of some interesting and funny memories - but the internet fluctuates even more than the real life...

OK, I've offered you to help you with the development of RB - now I've encountered the WIP-section.

Actually I have RB AI v1.0 installed, everythings OK and stable - if I would
"DEACTIVATECS.BAT" and delete the RB-files and install MetaMod and RB_MM WIP#1 and there would occur some problems with RB_MM, can RB_MM then be easily deinstalled and RB AI v1.0 be reinstalled, without danger for my *godforsake* functioning Steam-Installation?

Does RB_MM and MetaMod handle with Reg-Keys and/or modify the GCF-files? ???:(

In simple words: IS THIS ONLY FOR VERY EXPERIENCED USERS AND EXPERTS? o_O

Hints & Tips
Although i officialy do not suport the WIP install procedures, and i require you to have some knowledge about metamod, i can inform you about this:

You do NOT need to delete anything, so your realbot structure remains INTACT!

The metamod version of RB does not use reg files or anything. It does use the metamod plugins.ini file and also requires you to replace the metamod.dll file (only when it gives trouble).

I suggest to play around with the bots, perhaps you can figure some suggestions. If you want to know how to install metamod, you can always visit their site or take a good read at http://realbot.bots-united.com/wip_install.html

Hi Stefan!

I have read some things about MetaMod already and e.g. on www.metamod.org it is always the speech of SERVERS and DEDICATED SERVERS... I don't have a server running, but a normal CS installation...

To run RB_MM do I have to install the newest METAMOD.DLL on my CS 1.6 anyway? I'm a little bit confused...

yes. you have to havethe newest metamod dll because old versions are incompatible with steam.

WIP means "Work in Progress" - these versions of RealBot are quite under construction - and some things have changed...

Pleeeease post this very important info to the "BUG REPORT"-Thread belonging to this WIP-version and to my "Commandmenu.txt"-thread.

And you could also attach the COMMANDMENU.TXT to this thread, so everyone can download it and install it to his own "cstrike"-Dir instead - would be more elegant than copy and paste and messing around with that...

Hellu everone!

I just downloaded the newest realbot W.I.P and the newest metamod dll from the realbot page.
I have done exactly as it says in the "how to",
when i have created a server and types meta list to se if the file were loaded, this is what comes up...

Realbot badf load realbot_mm.dll v- ini - -
1Plugins, 0 running.

How can i run realbot??? i`v got cs1.5...

I tested this config WIP 2057 on a Listen Server first worked great!

So I ran it on a dedicated server with WIP 2057 works great!
Server mods:
* StatsMe 2.8.0.15
* AdminMod 2.50.59 (MM)
* HL-Booster 1.70
* AMXMod 0.9.7 (8 modules)

I'm really glad to see a bot use metamod, it makes installation and updates much easier.

Hi im getting this too i have cs1.5 and done extacly what the how2 says. I've tied it in listen servers dedicated and nothing works. I have win ME could this be the problem? The same badf plugin fail etc.

open plugins.inf in your metamod folder and paste in here what is in there what you described is just that it cannot find your realbot_mm.dll file and you just need to alter where it points to i will tell you whats wrong when you post

is my plugins.ini im only running Realbot no amx or anything ill chack the ralbot directories to see if they are right but im sure they r.

wait i fixed it got rid of the .../ and it now works:"
win32 realbot/dll/realbot_mm.dll RealBot"
is the way forward

no, it is not. You probably installed realbot in:

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\(email)\counter-strike\cstrike

BUT, you should install it into:

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\(email)\counter-strike\

then the path that Jester suggested (which is the only working one) should work.

i dunno what's the problem with my metamod and realbot. I extracted the latest metamod 1.17 so the directory looks like this after the renaming i did so it is only named metamod /cstrike/addons/metamod/
then i changed my lblist.gam as the instractions tell to enable metamod. metamod worx just great.
in directory \cstrike\addons\metamod\doc i opened file plugins.ini and added the line win32 ../realbot/dll/realbot_mm.dll RealBot
i opened cstrike loaded map the metamod works since i see the message of it being loaded. but the problem i see is that no plugin is installed. i see plugins 0, running 0,
is there anything i have to customize? i also see a file config.ini in the same directory. do i have to change things so that it works??

any help would be apreciated =/

stefan what do you mean by the only working one? as in only working directory? i didn't use the realbot installer i downloaded the zipped version of it and put things where they should go without useing the activate feature because i was having problems with that then downloaded the latest wip and yes realbot folder is in counter-strike not cstrike

Your metamod seems to works (it is at in the right folder)
Your command line in your plugins.ini seems to be good. But you didn't tell in which folder is your realbot_mm.dll. With your configuration it should be in your couter-strike\Realbot\dll\ folder.

Stefan is it ok if i put a directory structure on my webpage with the realbot and metamod files already where they should be with some instructions and some screenshots i figure it will help but in wanted to get your consent first if you want to preview it first then i will send you the link to my page i put everything in a zip file its got liblist.gam command.txt listenserver.cfg the addons folder with everything in it and the realbot folder i also to step by step screenshots i figure it will answer alot of questions and cut out human error

I'am a bit confused, my realbot_mm.dll is in my addons folder and running with no problems. The pluggin.ini reads win32 addons/realbot/dlls/realbot_mm.dll Realbot. The realbot folder is still at hlserver/realbot. This is for dedicated server but I can't see why a listenserver would be different.???:(
