Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
sorry this bug is making me mad :(
I need a faster computer to do better tests... takes so long just to compile... (about 30-40secs) then starting up a server takes a long time... even hlds.. then it takes about 15-30mins before I can actually confirm if the bug is still there... |
Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
yeah i'd like to participate in helping find this bug but testing maps and wp on a slow as a snail comp is no fun :'(

Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
Not one to brag but i custom build PC's and Mine is really really fast P4 3.2 Ghz with HT Radeon 9800XT P4P800 Deluxe MB with Kingston PC3500 RAMM so if you want me to run some test just ask me

Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
well I have a faster computer than the one i'm currently on but it's ALWAYS occupied...
both custom built by me :D but still not as fast as yours because the last time I upgraded it was in sept 2002.... 2Ghz Athlon 2400+ 512MB DDR RAM PC2700 Ti 4600.. and I would think sending it then waiting for a reply takes too long.. and I don't want to be responsible for if anything goes wrong :| |
Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
well anything I can do to help
but i think doing that way would be faster then 30 mins |
Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
go into chat...
I'll send you dlls to test. chat is that link near the top of the forum if you didn't know.. along the same line as UserCP but don't actually use that link.. just get the address and connect using mirc or something. |

Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
I side with Stefan.
It sounds like a memory problem to me. Comment out parts of the code until the bug disappears and slowly re-add pieces one after the other. |
Re: Bug-NUM_FOR_EDICT Error: Bad Pointer
It is 100% map dependent!
When I run mapcicle with:
on each of the maps below:
