I'm an irc noob, i dont' get really the point or exactly what it does. For example stuff like #counterstrike or #chatteens are channels right? These are the only way to connect to chat rooms. And is it only chat rooms, i use Mirc.

You need to set a server too, for example
irc.gamesurge.net(populair) or irc.bots-united.com.

Whats the point of the server then? Is that what you're connecting to when you're connecting to a channel?

First you have to connect to a server and than enter a channel from that server.

Does that mean if you're on a specific server, you coulnt' go onto a channel on another server?

unless the IRC server you're connecting to is part of an IRC network (such as QuakeNet, DALNet, etc...)

If by "Youth organisation", you mean a place where middle aged men hit on other middle aged men pretending to be 14 year old girls, then yes, its a youth organization.
