Well, I guess every living being has a DNA...Maybe their's will be different (e.g. not "spiral"), but I gues they have...

Bayer or Roche? (no nationalisms, please!)

"ati or nvidia?" - ATI, as nvidia requires proprietary driver in GNU/Linux to make the 3D acceleration work. ATI works straight in XFree86 AFAIK
Ahem yes, but this time does "proprietary" driver from nvidia seems much better than the free and open source driver for (and not from) ATI(which seems logical because nVidia puts actually some work in it).

"Waypointed or non-waypointed (ie read map to navigate) bot?" - waypointed, as I'm not a l33t h4x0r :(
With Cube its really easy to use map info, yet custom made waypointed maps seem nicer :(

Q3A bot or CZ bot?
Q3A bot, best bot I've seen so far

Funner singleplayer ai: Serious Sam Series, or Duke Nukem 3D?
Serious sam, its fun to shoot all those hordes of monsters :)

Aliens: if they exist, will they have a DNA or not?
I guess so...as almost every organism(except a virus, but thats not really an organism anyway) have DNA. Otherwise I think they have something simulair.

Aquarium or Terrarium?

EDIT ugh to late....

camembert or brie ?

PS: about that ATI stuff : the drivers are getting really better the last years, 4 years ago it was just crap, but now it's quite ok

well due to Cube's permissive-for-proprietary-developers-but-restrictive-for-free-software-developers license, I just don't even bother porting my bot (not YaPB) code to Cube, as that means I would have to release all my code under the same terms (which is what I don't want to). And I don't want to fall into the evil side (i.e. not to release the source code) either.
This flaw is serious, but not fatal, though.

c'mon... 9_9

*edit*

Brie. Red wine tastes better with brie than with camembert.

Best method to wake up: set the alarm-clock's time in the future or put it at the other end of the room ?

I just hope your not serious 9_9 The reason I mentioned Cube was because you can do non-waypointed bots easily(no 1337 hax0ring), it was not trying to get another cube bot developer.
I still have to see a reason why PMB dislikes GNU and Whistler dislikes BSD

lol true, but I didn't knew an answer anyway :)

If you put it on the other end of the room its more effective(you have to get out of bed).

My question remains...

aquarium, because if you are drunk and you cannot find the kitchen / bathroom, you still have something to drink.

btw, DONT TURN EACH THREAD INTO SUCH A GNU/BSD/WHATEVER FLAMEWAR without posting anything threadrelated.

running or swimming ?

Rick 11-02-2005 17:26

Re: This or That?

lol I'll stop ;)
swimming

Sprite or Cola

Whistler 12-02-2005 08:46

Re: This or That?

Sprite.

online play or play with bots?

[PS. I just explained why I can't use Cube to make bots without wanting to offense anyone, and any "flame war" is unexpected. Also Cube's license is NOT similar to BSD License in spite of what the author said.]
