Heh, cool, good to see that oldie coming back, it was an good PODbot mod back when... the bouncyball effect when you ran into a bot and he'd start running in a diff direction, and collide with more bots causing a pinball machine effect was hillarious, and a pretty decent way to handle the problems of bots getting stuck together all the time. :)

Well, I don't wanna hijack MarD's waypoint thread, but YES, in my opinion, on the hardest settings it's tougher than pbmm; it's somewhere between epodbot and the official CS bot in terms of difficulty. *However* it hasn't been developed in 2+ years, it's not compatible with CZ or 1.6 and a huge amount of bugs (and some others) which are fixed in pbmm, still remain in POXBot. But you can download it and see for yourself when the website goes live. Expect an announcement (probably in HL 1 mods category & also general bot coding) sometime around Thanksgiving. :chinese:

?? that's weird, I play with v1.3 and some earlier ones and that's probably their biggest problem actually; they get stuck together horribly, especially on those tight maps. On de_aztec and De_dust, they're usually fine, but on maps like de_tegea, sometimes you get a pile of bots jumping in place and stuck together (haha). But when they're not headshoting me they do alot of funny/strange things... What version is this that you've been playing with?

Is there any complete pack of waypoints available for download? I downloaded EPoD version 5.3 a while back, but half the waypoints don't work. I'd do it myself, but I'd rather find someone elses work instead.

Also, where can I download a full set of maps for offline CS 1.5?

as for this question, I can't remember what version it was soo long ago... I always lolled at this effect though... can't remember if it only works for player-to-bots or also bots-to-bots....

Pretty much all podbot mods minus PODBotMM.. but if you just redid the camp waypoints really they'd work fine in PODBotMM.

Bot's don't use nades much I know, it's just how they are coded. E[POD]bot doesn't officially support HE, FY, AIM, and other gametypes of the same genre. Bots use nades when they believe they can harm an enemy whilst they are hiding or the likes. I myself do wish they did use their nades more.. but there's still the problem with the bot's ability to predict nade throwing because of how some of the mapmakers use classes and such on models/textures/windows/etc.. cause of such, there isin't a perfect nade throw code for bots right now.

don't think I've done fy_stoneworld... I'll add it to my list. ;)

he_snow -- bots don't toss nades much (using E[POD]Bot v5.2 on waypoint creation time), but do fight up a good knifing storm once they group, lol. They also use the ladders, but for the ice bridges bots break those on sight, so I set them up to use the ladders and underpassage way. They also know how to climb the outer rim of the map but don't usually do so cause they're too busy knife fighting! :)

de_lust - Now this map I've only noticed one problem, and that's sometimes the bots get stuck in the small passageway near TSpawn when they jump after bumping into another bot, it's quite rare, but if it keeps happening I can try to rebuild the waypoints to work better.. not much guarantees on what I can do though...

[WTJ]GarlicSoldier also had cs_mottenbuero, and de_lost for the request.. but hasn't responded and I can't find cs_mottenbuero anywhere and de_lost seems to be only for CSS.

awp_map waypoints was a request from the E[POD]bot forums by lovewunying... at first I thought he said aim_map,
so that's why it's bundled in this pack, lol. :P


Both are Very small and basic deatmatch levels, I really just planted down a few waypoints and bots just
spawn and start shooting. ;)
