It was impossible to try with 0.20, because that time You posted, there wasn't any version really supported AMX MOD X 0.20. :D
But it's changed right now. Take AMX MOD X 0.20 RC6 from here http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/amxmodx/
(make sure You took the complete build and also addition for cs - You need download 2 files), take also night build (also 2 files) since 2004.09.23 from this location:

and read how to upgrade from 0.16 to 0.20 http://www.amxmodx.org/updateguide.htm

Then - when You really will get this version amxmodx to work You can take CSDM from here (build 275):

install and then take "my" files I posted by me here, as an attachement. But - use it for Your own risk - is not recommended and not authorised by Bailopan (author). He deleted my post at amxmodx forum with these files, because of some possibility making crash the game.

Replace in plugins subdir csdm_mod.amxx by this mine (see link at the end of this post - after unzipping of course).

I didn't experience at all this Your problem , but it's maybe I've started to try with AMX MOD X 0.20

For me this CSDM is working with both CS1.5 and CS1.6. Also bots use some weapons now (the function random_num is funny :D ). 8)

More simply, Austin has released 32-player versions of all the official CS maps. The problem is that most maps don't have enough spawn points, and can't be played above a certain number of players (this is called "telefragging" - not a bot problem). Check out the maps forum here at Bots United, you'll find what I mean.

But even when I've put maxplayers 32 and max-bots 32 I couldn't reproduce this bug reported here on cs_assault map. :)

You have some extra settings setted up in amxx.cfg file or You use CSDM with all defaults values? Another think - that link You showed few posts before , to see the parameters of Your server - there is written type of server - Windows, but I see You are using linux versions of files like podbot and amxx. I'm confused now what exactly do You have. All i tested and tried was windows based. If this problem You have is only on linux system, in this case probably I can't help You. But we need some linux beta tester because of throwing grenade bug issue. If You want help us a bit - tell. Maybe there is something corresponding between this what You see and this grenade throwing bug. We have also some sources of pod from 2004.06.27, so - If You want - we can give You this version to try if You still see this issue. Another thing is this - what the value of maxplayers You put when You start the server? What the value You have as max_bots in podbot.cfg file?
Try also for test disable Cheating Death.

At last something usable !

This pic tells me that the map is de_dust.
The spot where two bots are melted together is the origin of the map, i.e, the spot which has exactly the coordinates (0, 0, 0). My bot's navmesh tells me so. 8)

So in short a description of your problem as accurate as possible would be:
"I have bots that respawn at 0, 0, 0".

This means that there are at least one info_player_start and at least one info_player_deathmatch entity at this very spot.

Do also humans spawn here or is it only bots ?
Do the bots also spawn erratically in other places (on the same map ?)

finally he shows us something useful...
no it's no spawn point there or anything..
it's because he is most likely using a linux server and that is the linux server bug with podbot...
it'll print a bunch of NaN velocity crap then teleport the bot to the origin of the map..
I don't have linux at home so I can't really fix this as fast as I want to but I got people testing some code on linux.
look in the other thread about "wierd error messages"
