Date was wrong, zip was wrong, couldn't get anything but the 8th of Feb in the ZIP.
Canned my Cable, and switched to my backup ISP and it downloaded correct version first time. Cable provider utilises caching web accelerator servers. I reckon they had cached copies, the wrong version, of this file and were distributing from cache, not downloading from site. |

Well at last I have some free time. I have downloaded and installed everyhting and WIP 9 seems to work fine. I have played for an hour without noticeable bugs.
IMHO smart bots are still too smart (they turn round 180º and bang your head off from 50 m distance in a nick of time, even when you've got partial cover), and dumb bots are too dumb (one of them ran backwards 30 m...towards me. I had time to reload, shift to knife, and hack it to death; some of them get stuck at corners or look at you without firing for 3-4 seconds, etc). @bloodycups: it took me just 10 minutes to DL all from realbot site and install it. Maybe you should start from scrap. Anyway, check liblist.gam and plugins.ini. |

I am still having a problem with the bots getting kicked by console with wip#9. Bot.cfg has min/max bots as 6/8. which is in the realbot folder. Any ideas?

Guys please, i have downloaded the RB WIP #9 to check my download link and it is the latest wip #9, build 3005. You can even check the 'last changed' date is at 17th of feb!
Hence, you can try to search for 3005 in the dll itself and find ONE occurance. |

Stefan. Others may have the same problem that I had. My ISP uses cache servers, so I think I was getting the old file from their cache, not your server.

Bots behave for two or three rounds then get in to serious suicide mode again... |

hey guys, I'm getting that same memory error that I did back before the suiciding started within 10mins of the server being loaded.

Yo Stefan,
Just wanted to tell you this latest version seems to me,possibly the best so far.In dust and dust2 I have seen them plant/defuse the bomb more than once and at different sites!!WIP 8.5 didn't do that for me.....maybe I trained them wrong the first time lol.But this bot + MEAN Mod=Awesome,simple awesome.Now if you could steal BotMeister's idea and build in the combat fixes this would be one helluva bot ;)!!Thanks for your hard work.... qazme |

The memory problem I have/had happens when a player joins my server. Testing to see if it was map management plugin related.....

yoho!
by accident, i let seven bots play overnight with WIP #9. the server has survived :-) and it's still running. (not bad for windoze, ey?) the bots had been fighting each other for about 14.5 hrs until i kicked them. peculiar: ONE bot was a spectator... did I put him there? don't think so. not sure what had happened there. also: in SOME levels, your bots have evolved to worthy opponents. it's real fun to fight them! internet does work online, the spectator bug is if the server fills all the player spawns, no one can join so they go into spectator, 28bots + milita does this to me.

These are the commands im using:
realbot internet 1 realbot max 14 realbot internet_interval 4 20 I DO get a max of 14 bots but they do not come and go like internet mode is supposed to work... The same 14 bots have been on the server for the past 10+hrs. 20 man server with 2 reserved slots. AND bots dont leave when humans join. So if i have more than 6 people who want to play, I have to manually kick botz off the server... |

Take out the Realbot max 14
If you have that in there you will allways have 14 bots and they wont get kicked just try the realbot internet 1 command also if you want 14 bots just use the realbot add command in the bot.cfg to add them not the realbot max 14. EX. realbot internet 1 realbot add 1 0 pause 2 realbot add 1 0 Bliss |

The problem I have when I use the internet cmd is that the server fills up all the way to 20 (without - realbot max 14). I'll try your suggestion and let the server go for a couple of hours. I'll post my results... thnx Bliss

I'm still having the memory error come up since the wip#9 was installed. As soon as a player joins, this is what I get in console......

bot ratio, e.g. 2-1
2bots to 1human that way if a human doesnt join the server adn you have min set to 2, at least 2 bots will always be on, and if the server has 1 human then 2 bots would be on 2humans = 4bots 3 = 6 4 = 8 |

The only plugin I've added since using RB is a map management plugin but has since been disabled. Still having that problem though. min/max is set to 6 trying to find out why my bots get kicked randomly.

Ok I've tried it with just the basic adminmod plugins & it's still getting the memory error. Have also tried with just RB running with the same results. Any ideas guys???
I am trying this, basic AM plugins & JUST RB running to see if there's a dif. Just need someone to join.... |

it has nothing todo with RB, its an issue with Vault and Admin mod. dont botehr get AMX, its 99x better

I find that AM is 100 times easier to set up then AMX is. There's no installer for AMX, you need to create files for it as well. AM you don't need to create as it does that for you.

I think i found a bug but im not sure. could be my fault. i was playing with 7 other bots on a listenserver. i clicked endround cause i got killed. when the next round started up all the bots killed themselves. this went on for the next few rounds. im playing with WIP #9.

Does realbot chat? Im trying to get my bots to use fun commands, like: "say /mine_rplant" <rs_mines plug-in> or "say_team getclothes" <covert ops plug-in> Does any one know a way to do this if bots dont chat? (and without writing an amx plugin for it)

Right... Got it I think.
I removed the following line from my autoexec.cfg #localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/realbot.dll and started using the realbot command instead of rbds command. Seems to be working now, will update again later. |

WIP9 doesnt have waypoints,
AMX is easy to install, just get the Warcraft 3 installer, and no chat isnt enabled yet (you could ask stefan todo a detect plugins if(plugin = covert){ ask clothes }elseif(plugin = mines){ ask plant mine }else{ no im not going todo this because it would take to long } lol |

Can you post a link to the english version as all I can find is foreign and only patches or it's the amx plugin.

It seems like it would be easy to have realbot call up "chats" from a text file. you could also have the bots chat from defined sections in the chat.txt depending on certain situations (like round start, or headshot, or bomb has been planted). Sturmbot for DOD does this but I see how that could take a week to do. All I really need is for realbots to call up chats from chat.txt at random times in the round. It would be usefull to have a round-start chat-trigger for my mines plugin (you have to buy them thru chat or console in the buyzone).
Stefan if you've worked at all on enabling chat, I would be more than happy to test out a beta WIP. Im using HLDS on a windows server, steam 1.6 AMXmod v0.9.8, METAmod v1.17, and WIP#9 ALSO... realbot internet 1 my problem with this: my server has 20 spaces, 2 reserved. when realbot internet 1 <is on> I get 19 bots, none leave. So no-one can join if they don't have a reserved slot! Would it be too hard to add a command to set the max-botz in internet mode? Like setting the max-slots realbot sees.... I have tried using realbot max 14 with internet mode. I get 14 bots. none ever leave, and if i have 6 humans enter STILL none leave. here are the commands in my bot.cfg which is in HLServer\realbot\ realbot max 14 realbot min 6 realbot internet 1 realbot internet_interval 4 20 realbot setroundlimit 5 30 Any help is greatly appreciated!!! |

Deleted old RBX and RBN files. Installed the RBMM.dll and here we are some 57 hours later and still my DS is running! Thanks Stefan - that one works for me. HLDS, CS1.5, WIP#9, Statsme 2.7.1, Bleeding Plugin and Matrix mod!

You guys don't need to delete the rbn & rbx files as wip9 reads them without crashing. My server hasn't crashed yet either & I still have the old files except for the wip9 dll.

Is it possible to make the bot program detect what is possible to jump on top of and what isn't. Lets say I have a set of boxes which the node path runs on top of them. One box is small enough to jump on the other right next to that one is taller and can't be jumped on. I notice the bots trying to reach the path on top of the box by trying to jump on top of the tall box instead of the smaller one to the side.

Ok, so Im runnin: AMXmod v0.9.8, Metamod v1.17, adminmod v2.50.59, Realbot WIP#9 (whew), WinHL-Booster, and the mEAn bot-manager plugin.
I've turned off statsme alltogether, enabled csstats thru amx, cancelled my realbot commands which are over-ridden by mEAn bot manag. ... disabled the mapvote in adminmod (im using amx), and guess what?!?! yup, I think I have a conflict somewhere... I suppose I don't really need adminmod... Does anyone know if any of these plugins are incompatible? It really sounds like adminmod is my problem, 1 or 2 out of 16 bots are given full admin power and abuse the heck out of me. heheh, kinda funny, but it gets really annoying real quick! I hope someone out there can save me some (trial and error) time. Who's got tha knowledge? .... finally im going to sleep after 36 hrs of trial and error... phew.. I'll expect an answer in the morning, ...jk all you guys are great! ...and girls... can't forget the girls!:D 8D |

after 36 hours of my dedicated server being up...i come home and my bots are suiciding again. Restarted server and everythings cool again but what could make the suiciding start after updating everything? And why 36 hours later?
