my friend has a server that is pretty good. I think the bots there are top notch (sorry KWo, I still haven't tested the versions after v3b16d). The current version is v3b16d on the server. However, my friend doesn't always go on, and he doesn't always open his server so...

Their reaction time has increased dramatically. Once in a while they take a 10-20 seconds to react but its stil good. Im gonna test it out some more. However, for the first time players are complaining to turn down the skill. :) Thanks alot tis alot better. |

Hi Kwo! I've played so much with yapb 2.51(2.52 too week) and I loved that bot very much! except weapon cycling bug I hate :(
I've just installed your bot and i have different feelings about it. Much of strafing and strange slow reaction on 90 skill for middle distances or maybe its more like human like. I'm playing with bots for the many years coz I have slow internet connection :(( and I try many bots... pb 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, cs bot, realbot, yapb 2.51beta(the best), and I have feeling that your bot is good especially in short distances! I think you need to add more hardcore from YAPB bot. I've been shocked when I saw they(yapb) artiffical granade throwing o_O and very HARDCORE rhythm of WAR =) since I first played CS with PB! o_O Good Luck and more headshots! |

That feature is added after someone requested it.
Podbots are tweaked in this way so they cannot see an enemy ( or ally ) if he's in a dark area ( doesn't necessary has to be pitch black I guess ), but only if there is no sound or any other factor that will blab his position. So the bots are programmed to use a flashlight in dark area's to increase the chance of others getting spotted. Unfortunately their is no pb command in podbot.cfg to switch it on/off. Not yet :sleep: But you can use "mp_flashlight 0" if the flashing bots make you crazy. Of course then you can't use it yourself anymore + you have to type it again after every map change. |

Hmm.. I feel great difference between PB MM and YAPB.
YAPB - professional killers team. "targed confirmed. one shoot or burst - one dead santa! We will kill them all!". or "We have hostages and 1 terrorist here! " PB MM - rembo team. "OK. LETS ROLL! WE NEED FIRE! MORE FIRE!" then like in american films. Much of strafe and fire, granades %) :) |

Yes, it is :) On cs_assault inside building they often turning flashlight on/off every second :) Also, more I play with PB mm more i like it! Very good bot! I've enjoyed a big rush inside cs_assault building :) Ok. I've just stopped a 30 round game: podbot mm 3V20b(T) vs YAPB 2.51beta(CT) (not 2.52! that version has weeker bots! someone fix it please!) in cs_assault. And I got a very interesting stats: PB MM: kills: 59 deaths: 216 (kill per death: 0.273) YAPB: kills: 213 deaths: 64 (kill per death: 3.327) Overall ratio: 1 yapb = 3.6 pb mm killed YAPB has weapon cycling bug up to 10 times and also has bigger fatality life rate (5 vs 3 suicids)! This statistic may be unrepresentative. YapB wins always because it uses unrealistic very high senstitive "hearing" system. They always know were You are exactly. Even if they cannot see You (ebahind the obstacle), they are aiming at exact Your position. That's called as a cheating. pb mm doesn't cheat, so it's weaker...

I have some questions:
Imagine de_inferno and his long corridor. CTs see T walking out from their spawn but why they don't fire in each other??? Also T stuck sometimes. I have many situations where the bots go to main input to cs_assault building but not looking into right (T) direction. Why they use flashlights in cs_assalut house for example where is bright and flashing into his legs direction??? Something they use granade not in right time. when 1vs1 or other.. |

I still exist :) but I no longer play CS as much as before. anyways maybe I can help you a little with your questions :)
