To get the full access to all AMX X comands You also may need to use setinfo _pw "your_password" (and the password is defined in users.ini)...
It's really hard to help Youi if You are getting any feedback after 2 months of my reply...
On the dedicated server You can also have the same location of steam folder like on Your local PC (it can be installed in c:/steam)...

As I told You - I haven't tested the setinf stuff with exec.cfg called from config.cfg, but it was tested with autoexec.cfg (placed on client's PC in the main cstrike folder).

You can try this way - to make sure Your exec.cfg is called in the right moment - You can try this way:

1. I believe the server is running and You have restared CS on it to make sure podbot.cfg (with Your settings about the password and passwordkey) is reloaded (it happens only at CS start on the server - once - it's not relaoded on every map chnage or so).
2. You are starting CS on Your client's PC to join Your server.
3. When You have joined Your server from Your client's PC - invoke the console of client's PC and call Your exec.cfg (I mean - just write in server's console : exec.cfg - if it cannot be found (wrong location - it will tell You it cannot be called).
4. If the exec.cfg has been sucessfully executed (normally no info about that it's impossible to execute Your cfg means it has been executed) just write in the console this magic line (without rcon):
pb menu

I am just wondering on a thing. My podbot menu appears, and all the command works, except for two. Number one and number two doesn't work, which is the "Quick Add Bot" and the "Add specific bot". I press them, however nothing happens. The other commands work, like "Kill all bot" for instance. Any idea why?

There are possible few reasons when manually adding bots does not affect the number of bots You have on Your server.
1. Once You reach pb_maxbots by humans+bots on Your server the bot cannot be added.
2. You are using pb_bot_quota_match 1 parameter - which calculates by it-self the number of bots on the server according to the humans number You have there.

It looked into Podbot.cfg, and the settings seem fine.

I tried adding a bot when the server was completely empty, only I was there. However it didn't work this time either. Maybe I should reinstall it? I'm using AMX Mod on a listen server, pluss some plug-ins, and podbot.

Edit: Forgot to mention something. I couldn't get the podbot menu up, and found this plug-in called The Ultimate POD-Bot Menu. After I activated it the menu appeared. Just wanted to mention it...

Edit2: I can choose "Fill server" and all bots appear. That works. Strange.

On dedicated server on of those commands should work:
pb add
rcon pb add
I just don't remember if for adding bots You need (or You don't) to use rcon.
Try both method. Don't forget to use before that second one this:
rcon_password your_password

Yeah, you have to write rcon pb add. I managed to solve the problem. I found out that AMX Mod was not in development longer, however AMX Mod X was. So I tried amxx and installed Pod-Bot there, included your AMX Pod-Bot Menu, and now it works :) So I've certainly just installed podbot on a wrong way or something. If I remember right, I tried the command "rcon pb add" when I had AMX Mod (not amxx), and it didn't work.

Heres the solution: Use the all_in_one installer.

I hate installing extra stuff like Chickenmod so I just downloaded the podbot folder itself and extracted it, everytime I would do pb menu it would say pb is an unknown cvar. So the only other thing I could try was trying the full installer.

I followed your instructions here and now my pb menu works now with "=" bind but that's it, no other command works like pb wbmenu. Only the pb menu works The server is a non steam install and metamod is at version 1.9. In the hlsw console the commands do work. (meanwhile problem solved :D) The problem was the rcon and rcon password (i had to use rcon_password and rcon pb wp stats teleport to show me the stats of the current map - all the commands must be used with rcon in front of them :( except pb menu command -).

After the command rcon pb wpmenu the console dispayed:
You must be the host of a listen server to use this command
So, i cannot create waypoints unless i create the server on my computer and install podbot?
I must mention that the server is on a linux dedicated box and i cannot play from it.

First off there is no command pb wbemnu. It's pb wpmenu

Exactly - waypointing is only allowed on the listenserver - for the host.

i got a cs server running and i had there staff install the podbot for me i do believe its the 2.38v ...not the newest that i know...anyhow like many others that posted here i cannot get my pb menu to pop up in game once im playing i typed

in console and got "unknown command"

then i tryed
amx_pbmenu
amx_pb_menu
amx_podbotmenu

still the same thing "unknown command"

what can i do!

Versions 2.xx are no longer supported, so either use V3B18c...18e or don't ask for the support. This topic says clearly what and how to install to get podbot menu working. If You cannot get it, I cannot repeat the same over and over again, because I would have to say this what is already written (which You cannot get). I suggest You just install All-In-One. Then read pattiently 3 times the whole topic. The most important things are: setting up the password (to tell the server what is the password expected by podbot_mm.dll/*.so) and invoking the password (to let the server know You are the one who said the correct password) - that setinfo stuff You need to learn how it works to understand what You need to get working the main podbot menu (but also clanmod menu, amxmodmenu etc). But I'm not going to describe that again and again, because it was clearly written few times.

i got the newest version of your podbot. it dose run on my server i am renting - i am currently the owner and the only admin with access to everything.
i read through this topic from front to back twice. after the 3rd page i got lost - mostlikly nothing to do with what i have problem with.... different from what i understood.

Download the AllinOne Version.
And upload it all.
It should overwrite files on your server like liblist.gam.

Podbot mm Passwords are defined in the podbot.cfg
If you don't have an autoexec.cfg you can make one.
Open notepad and click flie->save as : and use Quotes: "autoexec.cfg"
Then upload. to your cstrike directory.

I think thats all is needed, but someone else can clarify.

You need to create nothing in podbot.cfg - You need to edit the line which exists there and it begins from "pb_password"... Just use the search function in Your notepad after opening podbot.cfg and You will find.

It should be sufficient, but the recommended way is to put that line into autoexec.cfg file (not auto.exe - why are You mistyping it all the time?), which should be placed in Your main "cstrike" folder (or "czero" - depanding on the mod You are playing) on Your client's PC. As Ancient said You - if You don't have there such file. just create one by notepad - it's just text file...


No - on Your client's PC You don't need to have podbot folder inside Your cstirke\addons. You need to have it only on the server PC.

It shouldn't cause any crashes.

I don't remember are you trying a listen server or uploading to a dedicated server?

When You are creating a game on the PC, then You are playing on the same PC - You have created a listenserver (You are the host for other people - You have to be there to let them connect). If You are starting the game console only on the PC, and other people can join to this game (but You aren't there - You don't need to be there to let them play) - that server is called a dedicated server.

Yeah - this is the only code You need to have on Your client's PC in autoexec.cfg. You can put it also in config.cfg (or in both of them - no matter) in the main cstrike folder. Client's PC is the PC You are joining from to the dedicated server to manage it and play there.
You need to have also this line in Your config.cfg (in cstrike folder) or You can type it manually during the game from the console:
bind "=" "pb menu"
If You have
pb_passwordkey "admin"
and
pb_password "admin"

That setinfo line in autoexec.cfg or in config.cfg should look as Ancient told You:
setinfo "admin" "admin"

Concerning to autoexec.cfg - yes. Concerning to whole Your lient's PC - no. You need to add that bind I told You before (to config.cfg). Then - when You will join to the server from Your client's PC, You just need to push "=" button to bring up podbot menu.

Yes - please write in the server's console:
meta list
and show us the output (this what You can see on Your screen).
You should have told us clearly if the bots are running on Your server and You have only problem with bringing up the menu or there are no bots on the server and no menu on Your client's PC.

why it says

unknown "pb_menu" <--- is really unknown too me... i HONESTLY put this BIND in my "." key....

thats exactually as shown how i do it in console NO underscores AT ALL.... everytime i hit my "." key, i look in console and see that command error "unknown command pb_menu"
