Re: Forum Update

When I'm sending a private message, vBulletin doesn't ask me if I need some recipient confirmation (or anything like that - it was before). You decided to switch it off or do it automatically - so - it's not necessary to click on it - and all private messages will (or will not) open up a window with the info "You have a message from..."? I didn't test it yet if I can see such window after someone send me a message.

[EDIT]
The new style of showing post time doesn't show this what happened yesterday - one user was asking few times in the short time - at least KaszpiR says so:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=511897
Is there a way to show this new style together with exactly time (How long time ago , date , hours:minute)?
[/EDIT]

@Nova - believe me - one day I use this:
:gun_bandana:

I was typing one private message about half hour, then I couln't send it because ... I got automatically logged out.
Who asked You to write this stupid settings "automatically log off" after half hour disactivity (or something like this)?
:big_angry:

Thats NOT a stupid setting, thats a SECURITY setting.

Re: Forum Update

Don't get paranoid with this security stuff.
Look - when You click on some member - You can see his activity - "replying to private message", "posting new post", "creating a new thread". Just use that info in Your scripts and - if any of this flag is active - that automatically log off time should be extended (at least to about two hours - writting article in wiki may take longer time - I believe). If no one of this flag is activated - then after certain time (leave that 0.5h) log this member off. But don't think only about security - think also about frum usage. :nono:

I hope You are at least agree it's not working 100% perfectly (it wasn't working this way before) and then report it as a bug/issue at vBulletin forum (with description from my post) and tell them the fix (my latest post).
Peace.
Sorry :)

Re: Forum Update

i got the same issue on ogher portals
the solution is simple
you write message in some text editor -like editplus
then login, do all is needed, paste the text, and send the data to net :D

while editing message ou also have time to fix typos etc

Re: Forum Update

What is the current max time possible to re-edit last post in some topic at forum? Yesterday I've been posting at Waypointing forum and I did re-edit it once (after about 20 minutes after posting), but now - I can see "last edited by KWo 12 hours ago", but there is no button to re-edit it again. Before it was 24h - time to possible re-edit last my-own post.
@Sebastian, what did You screw up again? :D ;)
