Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
its not sp. Anyway, perhaps you can try to run without our delivered metamod.dll/.so file. If your server ran okay without it, try using the realbot plugin with that.

Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
I just tried it again using the public release of metamod 1.17 and when I type in "meta list" in the console of HLSW it shows that there is a bad load of realbot_mm_i686.so.

Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
Hi Stefan, I really appreciate the time and effort that you put into bringing RealBot to us. Thanks.
Unfortunately, I have to second what Sauza is saying. My server won't start with your version of metamod and RealBot (WIP) won't load with the metamod.org version. My error messages are pretty much the same as Sauza's. I'm running 1.6/Steam and using StatsMe (my metamod setup is working with it). If you care to see them, I can post exact error messages or the contents of plugins.ini or...whatever. -edit I should mention that I was able to set up a Win32 server with your metamod version and RealBot(WIP). I was just testing, so I don't know about problems with map changes or goals or grenades, but everything loads and the bots are able to join. Only the Linux version remains an enigma. |
Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
I understand that we are trying to get a working version of the RealBot as a metamod plugin in linux, but there are some things about the linux_rbv10.tar.gz contents that don't make sense to me. The first thing is that the linux version of rb 1.0 doesn't contain bot.cfg, rb_names.txt or wptmenu.cfg and the win32 version does. There are a couple of other files I found that didn't make it into the linux tar ball such as the realbot/data/cstrike/bot.c15 and realbot/data/cstrike/bot.c16 files.
Do you want us to add those files to our linux installs or are they somehow not required? If we do add them, should they go into the same folders that they go in the win32 version? The reason I'm asking these questions is that one of the requirements listed in the "How To Use" readme on the download page is: Quote:
I want all the files where they are supposed to be located so I can give better feedback. Oh, and I don't want to have to hear this from the boss >> :RTFM: ;) |
Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
yes, the files you miss should be in the linux dir structure as well. I made a mistake archiving the linux package.

But this is not the cause for badfile ... I think, it's a compiling-issue of WP1 :-( |
Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
Hey guys,
First of all realbot is sweet, and bots are fun :P i remember this server called palestinian fashion sumthin, i used to go there because it had 15+ bot set to uber pwnage, all on t side...and we had to join ct :D that was the day. So, as a rememberance and a tribute to sites like this and people who make bots reality, i have made my own bot server using realbot, just recently (im on a dsl connection after-all :P). But enough flashbacks. I am in the same position as speedx and sauza, from a clean install perfectly tested every step of the way, the WIP for linux doesnt load in metamod : Currently loaded plugins: description stat pend file vers src load unlod [ 1] Adminmod RUN - admin_MM_i386.so v2.50.58 ini Start Start [ 2] AXN RUN - axn_mm_i386.so v1.05 ini Chlvl Chlvl [ 3] AMX RUN - amx_mm_i386.so v0.9.3 ini Start Start [ 4] FUN RUN - fun_ms_i386.so v0.9.2 ini Start Start [ 5] CS STATS RUN - csstats_ms_i386. v0.9.3 ini Start Start [ 6] Realbot badf load realbot_mm_i486. v - ini - - i had realbot working just fine previously, and although i have not tried (yet) im confident i could the prev version working with all these, there wer' missing files in the linux release, and i never tried hard to get the rb commands working, since rbds was fine for me in my situation. i could give an example of my bot.cfg (i used it to add the bots etc) rbds addbot_1_1_1_pwn-O-zaur pause 3 rbds addbot_1_2_1_pwn-chi pause 3 rbds addbot_1_6_1_pwnerat0r pause 3 rbds addbot_1_4_2_Ja-pWn pause 3 rbds addbot_1_7_2_pwn-kendo pause 3 rbds addbot_1_5_3_pwn-zilla pause 3 rbds addbot_1_10_4_Al-capwn pause 3 rbds addbot_1_8_4_Got-pwn? pause 3 rbds addbot_1_3_4_Gestapwn pause 3 rbds autoskill rbds csversion_1 ===-===-===- So in essence i will also be waiting for further developments on th linux side of the WIP I am confident there will soon be a good release soon. -i have not copied over the other files from the win32 zip, rbds seems to be enough for now... can't wait for the new release ! Ps- its pretty funny playing bots with tracer on (axn) Thanks SteFan :D (yeah i read that post) cheers. -=spurn=- |
Re: Stefan: Linux RealBot alternative
sorry i would put the rbds autoskill and rbds csversion_1 before the addbots (not knowing if it IS necessary though.. :)
