glad to see the fritzbots are up and in action online already. good job and thanks for the bot. btw, is there possible to incorperate the bots in mods like jaymod or etpub etc just like the omnibots ? i want to have killingsprees w/ the bots:gun_bandana::P

No problem, hopefully it worked ok. Probably as you guys get everything ironed out some sort of basic primer on how to set it up as a dedicated server would be helpful. Maybe even a locked one on the forums.

Anyway thanks for all the hard work. It's a lot of fun.

I've added a lot of Shrub/ETPub-ish features already. I can always add more - just request what you'd like to see.

I've never played ETPub, so I don't know how the killing spree works.

well i would love to try out ur server even ill have like a 200 ping (germany)
but first i get dl of 12 kb/s was going to take it, but after 10 minutes it kicked me....
can u maybe give me a browserlink or something cause it wont let me dl the files from ur server...

sorry boosted, it does have http redirect and u should have faster download speed than 12k/sec. it may be the setting in your player profile. go to etmain/ profile/yourname folder, open etconfig.cfg using a notepad, search for "download" and you will find something like seta cl_wwwDownload "1" and etc. make sure everyone of them is set to 1. then try connect again.

alternatively, I give u the site to download the files. just check your pm. :P

You're also welcome to try my little server. Just start ET and play online and select connect to ip and put thekillebox.servegame.com and you'll be connected to it. It does have ftp download just be patient and you 'll be playing soon :)

Made an attempt to use your Fritz ET server just now, but had some problems. The map was "tank." After downloading 20MB of pk3 files, when I joined the game I found the bots were stuck without goals, and my movement controls didn't work. Good sound effects, tho.

Which server did you try and connect to? There are a couple posted in this topic? I checked mine and it was running fine.

I'm assuming it must be one of the other servers as I don't have the map tank on mine.

EDIT 1:
Stymied because it requires four pk3 files that I don't have. Although I have "download files" turned on, it didn't d/l anything. It began with fritzrommel but failed and kicked me out with the list of files that I don't have.

EDIT 2:
Got Rommel.pk3 from the filebase. Tried again. Waited through a 19MB download for Stalingrad and was accepted. I've never played this map before -- very interesting trying to cross the frozen river!!

It'd be nice to have a list of the maps required before connecting so one could get them ahead of time. Thanks for providing a Fritzbot ET server!! :flowers:
