Re: How did you become part of BU?
Yes. Then when I was a member of the nukebox Stefan said he was going to make a bot. Hah!

Re: How did you become part of BU?
I was lured in with the promise of food.
Alternatively, I've been a CS player since it went retail, and have always been a bot player since I learned about them. Somehow, I found BU. I'd guess that I probably found it from Nuke or Botman's site, can't remember at all. Then I continually checked this site for what seemed like forever until they fainally got this forum up. Right now I don't even use any bots, I just come to the offtopic forums whenever I have time to kill. |
Re: How did you become part of BU?
I wanted to use multiple bots at the same time, and this gave me so many problems that I decided to whine a little about it here... always a good way to introduce oneself :D
But this place is kinda sticky... |
Re: How did you become part of BU?
I had already shrikebot.com and was happily doing my stuff there.
I always checked out botmans forums prior to that and was still visiting the botmans forums. Untill a regular (Drek) on the ShrikeBot forums told me about Bots-United. He was in the UnitedAdmins team and doing the MarineBot PR. SO i thought what the heck it can't hurt to check it out. Still here on this swell forums. :) (I wasen't on nukebox. I heard about it but it didn't appeal to me to register and post there.) |
Re: How did you become part of BU?
I was using PODBot 2.5 with my LAN mates, and since the lack of decent waypoints for some of our favourite maps pissed us off, I decided to have a look at waypointing myself. In the long run, however, the shortcomings of PB (mainly the monotonous pathfinding) got quite annoying. Then one of my friends told me about POXBot. I tried it and loved it. However, it was too unstable to use on a LAN server, so we had to drop it. This pissed me off twice, so I kept checking the POXBot site - which went down quite often and didn't accept registration. Little did I know that it was about to die. But somehow I found the way to the BU forums from there, learnt about PODBot MM, and you all know the rest of the story. 9_9
In fact, BU was the first forum where I registered, posted and contributed on a more or less regular basis. |
Re: How did you become part of BU?
I've been here over a year! what the hell?
|
Re: How did you become part of BU?
Well, I wasn't aware that PODBot was discontinued, so I googled for PODBot 2.6. Eventually, after much searching, I got here. The rest you already know ;)

Re: How did you become part of BU?
I had to find the link to BU at nukebox or UA forums (one of them for sure). I was looking for the new version of podbot. At beggining I focused only on podbot mm forum, so I even didn't know PMB has been that time already the president of BU. I didn't know that time (3)Colors screwed up all the rules of this forum, too, so I couldn't understand that time why the people here at beginning of my joining BU got me in very nervous way. I got almost banned - yes, I lost the poll for banning, too, but I'm here only thanks T Wrecks. After few months the people decided to make me a moderator for podbot mm forum. The rest You know... :)
