clickteam is non-free software... and I think it is shareware - its unregistered version will display as it's unregistered in the installer :)
check Nullsoft NSYS instead :)

Heh, I myself was thinking under the lines of 7zip. It's freeware, but hey Whistler, it's distributed under the "GNU LGPL," licence. ;)

I've seen a kickass installer already made with it: Far Cry Coop, it's sweet, the screenshots change themselves. Only 1 downside to it, it forces you to install 7zip when you wanna install any auto installers made with 7zip... so I'll try the one you suggested there whistler. ;)

7zip is not "freeware", it's "free software". "freeware" means "software which you can get for zero price, but NO source code is available". :)

actually the GNU Lesser GPL is also a copyleft (or "contaminative" as someone like to say) license. However it's a bit more permissive than GPL as it allows linking the unmodified code against anything, including proprietary software. If you modified the code you just need to release the modified part of the code, you needn't make all of your program which is linked against it free software.

Well, ya learn something new every day eh? :)

The past few days I've been too busy trying to finish up my RCbot Waypoint Pack for SvenCoop, and I'm just 10 maps away from running through the campaign 2 times (I've freakin' memorized it now :P). I'll give the one you suggested a shot cause yeah, it upset me that I had to install 7zip to just install Far Cry Coop.

OOH! can anyone make me one of those cool techno MIDI files? I've heard a few on the net, lol, they're awesome, and I think they'd go well with our little installer for kicks. If not? I was thinking of just recording some gameplay sounds n' throwing that on the installer. Gimmie some input guys, cause I want sounds for the installer dangit, n' I wanna know if I'm not alone out there. ;)
