So far its been divided if yr on or not...

Id say if the waypointer also want todo more mods waypoints as only CS waypoints then theres room for more WPT moderaters and hosted waypointpages at BU.
You guys can get Space just here .. no need to get own web pages.

;) :D

so i vote yes if waypoint section becomes more versitaile

It's depanding of the time You setted up for this poll. :D
Seems Councils don't want to vote - maybe they are confused like me - all they know You have sufficient qualities, but in other hand it's just finished another voting for moddies for the same forum (and now seems the number of them is probably finished).
It's probably also my mistake - I had to ask also You (when I was asking T Wrecks and MarD - i they want to be moddies) and I had start the poll for three people.:( But that time I thought about new moderators there You weren't so active like exactly after that poll was started.9_9

well remember i i want tobecome a mod because we are starting a newwebsite for waypoints, which could mean sometimes we are scarce on people, plus i am helping design the newwebpage

Re: Should Biohazerd87 Be A MOD

The poll is not a public poll ; but, in order to validate it, we must know who voted because we need at least 3 council members to agree.

Nevertheless, I voted "no". Don't take it as a sign of mistrust or anything, but I honestly don't see how being a moderator would help in any way for setting up the waypoints database you're talking about...

What is a moderator ? Some guy who does the police in a particular forum. Moves threads when they aren't at the right location. Closes improductive ones. Stickies others. Warn aggressive members.

It does not mean "I belong to the crew". Look, MarD and KWo are moderators, but they have no website at Bots United, they have been named moderators because there was a need for moderation in some forums.

Is there a need for moderation in the waypoints forum ?
Given the activity there, and the presence of two moderators PLUS the super-moderators and the council members, I would say, no.

Now, a moderator can also access the admin's hidden forum. But this is not a worthy bonus at all, since the only discussions that happen in this forum are relative to the server's security and the technical details exchanged between the hosted members and the UNIX administrators. And there is more discussion going on through PMs than ever in this forum, actually. All the public discussions concerning Bots United happen in the Agora.

This is not a criterium to want to be a moderator, especially if the reason you are invoking is the creation of a waypoints database. How can having access to this hidden forum help you in this regard ?

I don't think there is currently a need for a new moderator in the waypoints forum, and I don't see how being a moderator would help you usefully to do what you propose.

Remember, being a moderator does not mean "I belong to the crew". There is no "crew" here, apart from the 5 council members which are here for administrative reasons - to endorse the responsibility of keeping things rolling. The rest are the hosted bot makers, and you all, the BU community. We're all in the same ship :)
