Heyyo,

DOH! Guess I forgot it... :P

LMAO! YEAAAH! I can see the little CTFB smilie on the right! w00t! :D

Ok, since I'm trying to keep this thread on track, I'm gonna do sommore updating:

I've been looking at that Nullsoft NSIS, and it looks great. I'm definately gonna use it for an E[POD]bot installer, and maybe some basic scripting so it can do it all automatically, cause tha'd be cool. :) I'm thinkin' of it people either manually putting in their folders, or the installer search for any CStrike folder, and the user chooses where to install it. Hopefully I can script that in just basic dos cause I could handle that, if it's in C or C++? I may need some assistance. :P

I'm still also waiting on any response on if someone can kindly contribute one of those cool techno-midi sound files to put in the installer, cause those just pwn. :D

Also, if possible I'm gonna try to throw in some pictures of CS in there. Also, I have no idea what licence E[POD]bot is released under, or if it even has a licence... if anyone knows just tell me so I can throw that in the installer too.

Re: EPB Current Progress..

I believe pb2.5 uses the WISE installer

Re: EPB Current Progress..

the WISE installer is also non-free, and (what's worse) it's also a shareware :D
if you don't like NSIS, you can also search for the Inno Setup :)

and I think there IS a license, just look at the EPB readme file; it just doesn't allow any modification to the package. It also doesn't allow commercial redistribution, and others also needs to ask for permission if he/she wants to include it in a magazine CD (well, I think LN copied these terms from the original PB 2.5)

Re: EPB Current Progress..

Heyyo,

I say we just go with NSIS cause it's freeware, and it's pretty much the same dude, just a different layout. If you wanna use that WISE one, then aright, but I bet since it's shareware it'll have some stupid popup saying it's shareware... and I bet they're gonna charge like, $20 for registration......

....

OH SWEET BEJEBUS MAN!!! $449.00!!!! 8o

this is just an installer! whooaaaaa!! that's even more than buying Nero Software Bundle! They've gotta be outta their mind....

Haha, so ok, THE_STORM, if you wanna use the WISE installer without annoying shareware messages, you can pay the $449.00, cause I sure the heck ain't. :P

[EDIT]
http://www.wise.com/products.asp

there's your link, you can try it out, but I bet since it's shareware there's gonna be some lame limitations, probably filesize too...
