In steam, there's a file which lists the ips for VALVe's master server list... I don't remember if 1.5 had such a file. Of course someone would have to start a new server list and start spreading the new ip. I'm sure someone here will figure this out...

Well, i dunno if its possible. But perhaps we ( the BU server ) can function for this? Although it is not really our 'job', but it would centralize the 'won users' and... get us more traffic hehe :D (ie, when WON leaves, all news servers will refer to "Bots United which gratefully has made a replacement for WON and its users") :)

Uhh i dont know if we have that capability ! That is generate ALOT of traffic ...

hehe, well i dunno how much traffic eventually. If the server (BU Server) only works as a 'list of available servers' program, how much will it take on the traffic side?

well, we could inform and ask them to let one WON server run... though not supported by them or something? Perhaps thats possible. Hmm.

Valve will never support it - they're Steam all the way, right or wrong; sink or swim.

Personally I wish Steam would go the route of PowerPlay..... :D
