Just to let you know that this project hasn't died, I finished cs_castlewof and de_springer. That makes 13 completed maps. =)

Nah, SoUlFaThEr's too busy. He doesn't have time for making waypoints right now. In fact, he hasn't had time for a while already... and I doubt he will in the near future. Other priorities... 9_9

Hmm... I had planned this pack as a bunch of 30 waypoint files, so 6 are still missing. And as I wanted to base this on older, "classic" maps (plus some less noticed maps which deserve being played a lot more), new maps are not to appear in there...

The remaining maps I had in mind are:
cs_arabstreets (the question is if these buttons will work now)
cs_beersel
cs_india (this will be difficult to waypoint!)

de_avalley
de_outrage
de_prodigy2k or de_winternuke...

If you'd like to contribute, you could start with de_avalley and de_outrage. And you can take your time... much time. I'm still working on this project, but not continuously, so there's plenty of time. And if I see one autowaypointed passage, I'm gonna... think of something painful I could to to you. :P No, seriously: This could be a nice opportunity for you to get back into practice - if you want, that is. And don't just make single rows of waypoints through wide passages, ok? ;)

Oh, almost forgot: If you have any map suggestions that fit into the mentioned profile, just post'em here!

first i have a few questions...
This is for PODbot 2.6mm Right?
These are older maps right?
And if they are I have found a bunch of great maps that are just coming out that would make a great pack... of course that is down the road but still...

cs_bi0corp, cs_jungle_assault, cs_tirol, de_breeze, de_civil, de_morningsun_final, de_toxwastor ?
Already got them waypointed... :D

Then of course, there are some great upcoming maps (still WIP or beta, though) like de_slap, de_frosty, de_halla or de_ungarn... but I won't waypoint any more beta maps. As soon as they are final...
And there are some more good recent maps like cs_(c)oldmansion (nice mansion remake by Mataleone), de_chemiSE, de_colonial, de_vangogh, de_leestore...

That WP pack for old maps doesn't have to be finished in a week; I'm doing 3 or 4 new maps for every old map right now... trying to keep up and then publish a pack for up-to-date maps... maybe in smaller steps like 10 maps each? That would allow a WP pack release only a short period after the maps have been finished...

But for this pack here, I am trying to be consistent with old (i.e. pre-2002) maps that have reached a certain status or at least deserve to be more popular because they are at least as good as other popular classics but somehow were overlooked. If you can think of any, please let me know and feel free to waypoint it...

In order to keep the discussion organized, I'm gonna open a new thread for waypoints for up-to-date maps, ok?

Heyyo,

I'll help too dude! :)

I've made waypoints for as_highrise (cause sPlOrYgOn asked me ;) ) n' I think they're good enough for the waypointpack (you might wanna check how I did the elevator... I think I did it wrong... cause bots keep ramming into the door of the elevator...

I've also waypointed de_aztec2 cause I noticed it never made the first custom waypoint pack...

Next I wanna do de_rotterdam, cause I love that level to death man, n' it upset me how it's no longer an official map... anywho, I'll do that if someone hasn't already...

I don't wanna do too many cause I've got other projects to worry aboot, n' can't spend my whole time waypointing. :P

I've also done a lot of E[POD]bot waypoints since I was the official E[POD]bot waypointer... soon maybe, even the official coder... once I learn C++. I'm pickin' up a copy of visual studio 6 today, n' I'll read up a bit later today, n' for the next while, wish me luck people! ;)

Wow, thanks for your contribution! Judging from the stuff I've seen so far, your waypoints ought to have a more than sufficient level! =)
de_rotterdam sounds fine to me... I never liked that map too much, but yeah, it's an ex-official map, so I guess it deserves some waypoints.
So de_aztec2 and de_rotterdam from you, plus maybe as_highrise? Great! If highrise doesn't work there's still as_highrise2; if I remember correctly, there's no elevator in there any more.
