Re: Bug Report - Wip #1, Build 2049

I did download the latest version (2049) and I was playing de_dust just fine (besides the fact that the ct's wouldn't even go near where the bomb was planted and that if a bot plants the bomb, he gets stuck on it).

Anyways, I then typed in "changelevel de_dust2" and I played a few rounds without the bots. But then when I tried to add them, it said it was an unknown command to addbots.

Re: Bug Report - Wip #1, Build 2049

Stefan,

I'm having similar problems still. I am using WIP 2049, and have disabled AMX. Bots load fine first round, but on next round, they fill up the server to the max amount of players. I have my server set to max players of 24 and rbds maxbots_11. However, from second round onwards, there are 23 bots on the server. Luckily I have a Hyper-Threading processor so it works fine (I run a dedicated HLDS server as well as Steam on my machine), but the point is that the new DLL (both version 2043 and 2049) are not recognizing most of the rbds commands.

The same thing happpens if I start a listen server (i.e. load up Counter-strike and start a game).

This happens whether I am running AMX (I have AMX 0.9.3) or not.

Some useles information....8D :) 9_9

I am running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition in a VMWare Virtual machine (will setup Mandrake Linux v9.2 soon as well in it's own Virtual machine) (http://www.vmware.com). In this virtual machine, I run a HLDS server and then run Steam and connect to the server running in the Virtual machine. With 23 bots running on this server, my machine was still as smooth as anything. Gotta love Hyper-threading.

Machine specs. - Pentium IV 2.8GHz with HT, S-ATA HDD, 1GB 400MHz RAM, OS Windows XP Pro SP1

Re: Bug Report - Wip #1, Build 2049

It seems the new WIP has the same problem working with Stefan's metamod.dll as 2043 did with Metamod 1.17...

I tried changing all the bots' personalities to 100 values for Bomb and Hostage and they still rarely plant or defuse the bomb... Come to think of it... I never have actually seen a CT defuse the bomb... he ran up to it... I heard the use key but no defuse sound... then he ran and camped the bombspot until it exploded...

EDIT:
I have also noticed that the bots will waste waste money by rebuying their weapon at the start of the next round...

Re: Bug Report - Wip #1, Build 2049

I think that bots need to learn to do their objectives more. If its the start of the round (on de_ maps) then go ahead and let the bots roam around, but if for any chance that the bomb were to fall, the bots need to be able to work their way to it. Then after the bomb is picked up, they need to plant it (the bots can plant but they need to be able to plant more often). Then if a bot planted the bomb, the bot need to be able to move to a different location near the bomb and be able to guard it for at least 25 seconds. While the ct's try to go to the bomb, clear the area, then defuse.

Oh, also i've noticed that when the bots camp at spawn, sometimes tking them will get them to start moving again...
