I have edited Your plugin, so it uses the same cvar to enable/disable like AMX X version.
sv_parachute 0 - disabled
sv_parachute 1 - enabled
(don't forget to change the setting for it in amx.cfg file or any config You were using amx_parachute cvar).
BTW - what is the reason You are still using so old and not supported AMX instead still alive AMX MOD X? Is there any plugin You couldn't find the conversion form AMX to AMX X?

the CPU usage being good might be because of the clean up
you have done in the changes to the coding.

And yes it is a bonus because it means people can host more
real players with bots on there server.

this was a big issue back in 2005.

podbot_mm has evolved a lot since then.

If You are comparing it to 2005/6 version, yes. I thougt You are comparing V3B19q to V3B19p (no any improvements in CPU usage).

Do You have a contact with that guy? Does he still have his source codes?

About Your video - no idea how they can get stuck so far away from each other (and on other than same axis z level). Wasn't it CS1.6's plugin done that? If the player above would try to strafe left/right, he should get unstuck, but he is not even trying, which means his body box exists somewhere in player's down body box (so he cannot move).

Northy has not been on for one year and iinet took his server off him
i have been trying to get a hold of him for his version thats if he still has it.
his server was SATANS RING

I had it BUT i lost it when my HDD crashed.

these things use to spray a NOOBED logo over there kills.
Northy's bots use to shoot at sentry guns too and laser mines.

i Did not have CS1.6's plugin installed.
just in case it caused any problems for testing.

and as you seen in video the only part that turned
was the top half of the body bottom half could not moove.
thay were there for all the game.
i seen them at start of game jump over the wall
but did not realize thay were going to be there for all the game.
untill i was DEAD and specing the bot's.
if there not stuck i dont understand it.

it seems that if you change a map name and also change/edit the .pwf name, it freezes the client.

edit

i discovered that while testing on a listenserver (client crash).

i tested furthermore with HLDS. This indeed causes a server crash.

You cannot just change files like that. There is also a mapname in the header of pwf file, so You need to open the pwf with any hexeditor and change the map also there. If the string's length of the old and new map name is the same - that 100% works. But I cannot say if that helps if the length of the new/old map names is different. I'm not going to support that, anyway (what is the serious reason to change the mapname?). I can give the message the pwf file is corrupted or so in that case.

When you have different length with new/old map names, you rename the map and you change the header of pwf file. Change 00 with letter or letter with 00 but no add. The end of the header name is 00

I play in my server dedicated always with 14 or more bots
The new versions have others problems
Like me the version O

 
Problems
.When I put high number of bots in this new versions increase lag
.In maps with glass walls or floor (he_glass/he_glass3) the bots no move only move the knife for break the wall (only in the version podbot 3)
.Crash server in change map
.In maps of low slots the bots continuous in spect mode for this others players don't play the map
.Autokill please desactivate only for gun game/deathmatch

Another update - V3B20r:

+Fixed the problem with bots not trying to seek the cover while reloading the weapon.
+Changed the selection of task ENEMYHUNT and SEEKCOVER.
+Improved yet the aiming for moving targets.
+Fixed bug with pushing away bots on the edge of the roof - they shouldn't fall down now.
+Cleaned the code (exactly some functions are splitted to let me easier find a specific code).
+Fixed bug with bots throwing nades in some random places.
+Fixed bug with bots looking at the wal for longer time.


This is a release candidate 5 for the official release. This version should also fix the problem on that video movie from de_dust map, but I couldn't see if that really helped or not.

As usually, please, leave a feedback if this version is really better than previous one and - if it finally deserves to be the official one.

  • Suggestion: display print_center (waypointer) mssg 10 secs after team join. 5 secs seems to be not enough (still sv_restart mssg overlap)
  • it's about time to give credit to KWo in the HUD pb info message regarding "Developer". The initial developer is long time gone and has discontinued working on pb years ago.

Initial developer: bla bla: 2001-2004
Current developer: KWo: 2004-now

found two bug (?) playing de_dust2

bug1: bot without end (about one minute) trying to jump onto one of boxes on map until he was killed enemy

bug2: being on bombplace bot does not establish bomb run circles and only after 30 seconds, finally made it

that's an archive of demos


added:

bug3: similar to bug1, again an infinite number of attempts to jump on him

Perhaps this is somehow resolved: bot tried a couple of times did not work the other way looking?

You can not look at the demo, the meaning lies in the fact that the bots perform some action indefinitely, and this is not good

another issue that they can not jump onto boxes, that is, bots do not duck into jump, but that's technical problem

i chucked the bomb down and T Bot run around the bomb 2 times looking at the bomb then picked it up LOL "this is not a Bug".

other wise i have not found any problems yet.
i realy like this version of bot.

my computer is a PURE ASUS PC.
i find doing demo's through steam you have these mismatches in version.
so using:

ASUS GamerOSD version 2.07.1218 available for Windows XP/XP64-bit Edition.
This ASUS GamerOSD is made for ASUS VGA Innovation such as GameFace Live, GameLive Show, HyperDrive, OnScreenDisplay, SmartDoctor, Splendid & VideoSecurity Online...
If you wish to run these ASUS special features, you have to install "ASUS Driver" first and then install "ASUS GamerOSD".

or something similar to this.

you get a DEMO that every one can look at and get no mismatches in version.
you can even make a HD quallety movie or low quallity movie.

Don't use no-steam CS1.6. It's not supported. On other boards - when the admin knows You are using no-steam - You are getting automatically banned.
Please - save my time and don't ask me to use any crap to see Your demo written by illegal CS version. For the future - use Reaper's method - record the demo as an avi file. Thus I don't need to have any special models / sprites and other things the standard demo is pointing to (and even if I have the same version of CS it doesn't guarantee I can watch Your demo recorded the standard way).

i get my ADMIN'S to make .AVI'S
because i dont have the time to go in to the game just to watch some one hacking.

im running STEAM VAC Secured server's and i would not have it any othere way.

a none STEAM server Might be good for a lan game where there is no internet connection but i dont see the sence in it SORRY.

How about the problem on de_dust map? Do they still stuck with each other (one above another one)?
They don't learn from real players (the navigation system in pb mm isn't designed so).

KWo it has not happend again i think it was a Freak of nature.

and to do with learning the bots have started scratching there knives up against walls like the real players do.
this is why i asked if thay learn.
thay dont do it all the time but i have heard it in game when there were no real players in the server.

I have the same problems sometimes Alex. Sometimes you have to just remake the jump to be much easier for the bot, but other times you can't make it any better than what it already is and they begin to act weird; ducking while looking up at the jump point, and sometimes doing the exact same actions like in a loop.

Latest version causes server crashes. Segmentation fault on 321. When creating bot. Sometimes it won't crash.

Linux, x86. Rolled back to q and it runs stable. I even had to run memtests, etc 'till i figured out that it was the updated podbot binary which caused problems.

Another update - V3B20s:

+Fixed the problem with bots not trying to switch to secondary weapon in short distances (if they are using snipers i.e.).
+Fixed bug with pushing away bots in smaller areas.
+Changed again counting the time to show welcome and/or waypoint messages in the right moment.
+Finding the cover waypoint should be done based on really the best candidates (before some of them were remove/overwritten by other candidates).

This is a release candidate 6 for the official release.

As usually, please, leave a feedback.

Here is the link to linux debugged version V3B20s. Please make me a full dump of the crash so it will point me the exact place of the code where it is crashing.

because thay are not a bot or human player.
a sentry gun is a non known entity to the bot's.

when the bot's come out in front of the sentry gun thay dont do any thing.
and get shot by the sentry gun.
but real players shoot at the sentry gun's.

Can anyone with linux (except PauliusBa) confirm if the latest build is working or crashing for him? If it crashes - please use debug versions (from the end of this post) and make me a dump info.
If there is really any bug affecting only linux systems it needs to be fixed before official release of pb mm. No answer for that delays official release.

Quand je lance une nouvelle partie en local les bots on tendence à rester bloqué par deux dès qu'ils se croisent.

Pourquoi existe t'il une version AMD 64 bits pour linux et pas pour windows ?

Serait-il possible de dépasser les 1023 waypoints? nous jouons des cartes où celà serait nécessaire.

AMX Phenom II X4 3.4 GHz, 4 Go de Ram, Windows Seven 64 bits ultimate.
