Re: Little advertising
Just wanted to share with you that I found this loooooooooooooooooovely text editor. Simple, uncluttered, self-contained: it fits in 1 file, you can thus use it to replace notepad :)

what about Kate and KWrite?
http://kate.kde.org/images/kwrite-small_01.png or GNU Emacs, which is a very powerful and extendable non-WYSIWYG editor and can run under Windoze but just a little big and doesn't "comply" with Microsoft's "standard Windows interface" :) |

JetAudio
Nice little program... Free version comes with JetCast, you can create your own radio :D Plays almost all media formats... Kinda complicated interface, but once you learn it, it's wonderful... Can add skins and other stuff. Comes with alarm clock as well (I woke up to the sound of Radetsky March :P)... Worth trying out. |
Re: Little advertising
What about Context..
It's got syntax highlighting for a bunch of different things.. (can create your own too) |

This is a free software utility to compare files. More powerful than MS' one included with vc6. It's also a KDE component but this time you can use it in MS Windoze |
