I recently started (rented) a CS 1.6 linux server with Adminmod and Metamod installed on it.
I would like to add bots for those times when players are non existant (always lol) Maybe draw in some players...
I have read through posts here to try and get a feel of what bots are good, easy to install, functional, way point availability and so on.
Those who have 1.6 servers out there running please suggest a bot. Anyone who has exp please suggest a bot and plugins needed.

If you know of any tips or tricks for installation please do tell...LOL

Thanks alot

IMO you should start with POD-bot 2.6mm, eventually improved with the mEAn mod and the botaim2 plugin ... but I'm biased on this question :)

there are also metamod versions of other bots, e.g. realbot, joebot, ... trying each of them and then deciding which one appeared to be the best for you is the way to go I guess

~yup, I remember having had a hard time with the joebots... almost as underhand as their creator :D

Maybe I got this wrong... We know how Joebot work, but nobody never saw how Your RACC bot works and how need it setup , control etc... :P
I wonder if at least one bot at this forum will be more "user friendly" with installation. The biggest problem of all bots (and the thinest point of them) is the installation. Only advanced CS users know how to setup them and how to get them to work. A lot of people wanted to use bots, but they gave up with failed installation (too many problems). :(

Well I thank you for your input. I see servers with bots that run, and I guess I will give it a try, what can I do hurt myself in the process lol. Thanks again all!!8)

And that's why I made the All-In-One Installer for POD-Bot 2.6mm :D
