menu problem(ive read the "read firsts")

I have read the "read firsts" and i went to my epbcfg and edited the language to english and even reinstalled my steam. But everytime i open my epb menu it doesn't show up correctly, instead it shows : #menu_main1#menu_main2
exactly the way you see it, nothing else is shown but, it still works. So i can press =,2,6 and it will add a 200 bot. The problem is I can't see what i am pressing i only can add bots from past experience with pod-bots. Any idea how and where i can change this setting?

you need this file if you are using CS 1.6:

just copy it to your cstrike folder and it should be okay.

Hey I'm using CS retail 1.5 with the WON2 patch and also Extreme Edition (which is just an update to graphics so that shouldnt change much) and I've also read the read firsts and done the set language thingy in the epbcfg file.

I've tried with a base install of CS retail, with just the latest retail patch, with the EE and combinations of the three and I still get this bug.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Is there anything else I could do to fix it?
