well here it is again but this time it is public.... the reason i want to become a mod is because, soon (we hope) that we will have a fully working Waypoint website which would require more help managing things here while we work on the website, and it also helps out the forum :|

Heyyo,

I think so, cause Bio will probably doing the whole HTML part of the site. Plus, he's more active in the waypoint forum than me. Nowadays I'm just waypointin' RCbot for SvenCoop for kicks, n' I've gotta focus on my GTA modding project...

Heyyo,

Heh, yeah, Wha'd I miss that invalidated that last poll? is it in a manual somewhere, and I should RTFM cause I'mma forum n00b? :P

it had to be a public poll so you can see who voted where

MarD

Heyyo,

Oh, ok, that makes sense. But bio, I'm not sure you're supposed to vote for yourself. :P

lol well it isn't that much that the people vote it is what the Council Members decide

oh well, if that's really what you want...
I voted yes.
Though I don't really see the need for another moderator, but others seem to want you.

i voted no since once again he made a poll about himself.. and that kinda annoys me..

i wouldnt have voted for myself as long as i made the poll my self.. something about that says something isnt right..

well again if he wants to become a mod to feel powerful or something, he'll be disappointed :)

note to all aspiring moderators: never forget rules #11 and #12 of the FBRC.

Heyyo,

Yeah, since BU is a nice place, we don't commit forum-moddie abuse n' ban n' mess around with people's posts.

The moddie status is more for just a title to show he's part of our waypoint section, cause he's one of the main voices in that part of the threads.

No - it's not others want him as a moddie - they want only to stop him starting a new poll in also this one will be impossible to validate...
They want only to stop the infinitive discussion why didn't he stay a moddie... :D

One thing I still don't understand - are Councils obligate (or not) to vote in polls at AGORA (especially if need validation of them by reaching majority)? 9_9

If the people really want him as a moddie why noone of them started this poll (especially T Wrecks and MarD). ???:(
But if I'll see T Wrecks right now start the third poll for biohazerd as a moddie, I will die from laugh. :D

Heyyo,

Well actually, if you checked the thread in the waypoint section, I asked him to start the thread several times over. :P

Heck, if it came down to it? I'd start a thread too. I think anyone involved with the creation/maintenance of our newly planned waypoint database deserves to have a title as moderator, cause that's what he'll be doing there along side TWrecks and I.

OK, but try to persuade this to Councils - seems they really don't like vote for or against biohazerd87. They even don't want to speak here why don't want to vote. :(

Heyyo,

I don't think the main question is if they want to vote, but do they have time to vote. Cause it seems like no. Like, SF's way to busy to even show up right now, n' the others are probably the same way. Look at the EPB moddie thread, that's been open much longer, n' still the majority of the forum council hasn't voted.

Perhaps a reminder email would do ?

so, this thread is just for voting if bio should be a mod ? cause that's first nothing to do with doing some waypoint site. or is this vote about both ?

I have seen this thread, but somehow I didnt vote, cause all this looks a bit hm, not well defined. ( passed the math test, so everything gotta be defined perfectly for me ;) )

OK - I found some rules about Councils:
http://www.bots-united.com/council-rules.html

They MUST vote, but nowhere is described they must also read all polls/threads - so they don't need to know if the poll started by someone needs their participation (to decide about something) or not.

Probably need write something how to "title" a poll to make it clear for Councils (if this poll needs their voting). Or maybe every poll starter should inform Councils about his poll. Dunno - need someone to resolve this (probably Councils should speak together about this).

@aspirin - yes this is a poll about modding bio. More info You can find here:

http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=2816

and here:

http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=2822

Also the current thread-poll has some info. After reading all of this (all arguing "for" and "against") You can take some decision how would You like to vote.
All this situation is probably my mistake, because when T Wrecks and MarD have been moddied I didn't speak before also with biohazerd (if he wants and can or not be a moddie) - then - after speaking with T Wrecks and MarD I've started a poll for them and they were nominated. Exactly that moment biohazerd stayed much more active than a bit before, but Waypointing forum had already 3 moderators (SF, T Wrecks, MarD). So the argument against bio was this - there are sufficient amount of moderators, but the same valid argument "for" him is this - he really deserves to be a moddie there (also this special job for WP website needs him as a moddie).
I didn't vote yet , but seems I'll vote "for". But need Councils to validation (yes or not). That's why I've bothered You.

ok, this waypoint site is ( for now ) out of question, another vote needed for being able to host such a site. Just mod status for the waypoint forum would be fine for me, since bio doesnt seem to be destructive and I don't really care about the waypoint section to tell the truth, since it's mainly a podbot thingy

and maybe we need some clear structure for the voting process. a poll with three options : "yes", "no", "suggestion below" and the vote should only relate to a clear statement of the topic starting post and not having to be interpreted into some discussion.

/me agrees with aspirin.

I also read the thread several times; i also followed the previous one however i wanted to wait before to decide. It has to be somehow needed. I voted yes.

Thanks to Councils for validating this poll (and I hope for making biohazerd happy :) ).
Yes, we really need something to show You clear we need Your validation or something (look my previous post). Also me - I don't want to ask You everytime to vote - someone can feel this as some "pushing" from me - but it's not my intention. Also PMB probably doesn't like to validate some hanged-up situation only because of other Councils don't participate in discussion (because they don't know they need to participate) even if he can do this using his President's power and law.

well thanks for voting everyone... a last min point is that the waypoint section at the moment really only has 2 mods cause soulfather is soo busy, actaully i haven't talked to him in a long time lol

I see the vote is validated already. Hats off to biohazerd for wanting to help out.

My two cents: A forum only needs as many moderators as is required to keep it adequately maintained. Having a few more moderators than required should not be a problem and may be a good idea, but having too many becomes pointless.

You are absolutely right, but the problem for bio was this - Councils didn't want to vote at all, so it was a deadlock situation and he had to start a new poll because the first one couldn't be validated (insufficient votes "for" or "against" him). If You was disagree for modding biohazerd87 (like I understood from Your post) - why didn't You vote against him? It could be some solution then (better than deadlock). ;)
