well, i have been in here for a long time, but there's still something that i don't get:.... what is Half-Life deathmatch?
is a mod, or is the original game playing in multiplayer mode(i think is obious(a mod), but i'm still not sure) and if it is a mod, can you tell me if there is a mod for the original HL?
thanks

The normal half-life death match is multiplayer default HL. as shipped on CD.
each person/player fights for him self no teams just kill everything that moves.

But death match classic is a different mod. ;)

Parabot:

Technically this is the best one for HLDM, however it's non-free proprietary software and it's no longer updated :(

Heyyo,

Yeah, that bot's awesome... at least it's great how people have fixed it to be able to work with steam, I play with Parabot every once inna while... but havn't heard of this proprietary thing... *checks website* news still don't work, and the forums can't be found... so who owns parabot now?

I just means it's not free software, and to say "non-free" is ambiguity so I added the "proprietary"

...and don't you think the actual program on which humans can have a clue (aka "source code") is owned by someone and "proprietary & confidential" ?

Heyyo,

Well, by 1st reactions I thought when you said proprietary meant like, ownership. Like owning some property so you can build a house n' stuff onnit, sry misinterpretated that. :P
