hlds setup - and yes ive tried v.hard

hi peoples

now i know questoins annoy people, but i really have and tried very hard and read all the readmes and forums - ive got myself in a muddle.

OK, firstly, to try it all out, i set realbot up on a steam client, which i manged with some effort to get working (very good bots!)

Now - the overall aim, to get it working on a HLDS server (running on a local Lan)

I followed the installtion instructions to the letter, and alas it done work

This includes
- lauching the hdls.exe with the correct extensions (-localinfo..... or whatever it is) - this is done by using the target field in a shortcut to the hlds.exe file

- not activted the 1.6 - as we are running admin mod - and followed the instructions for people doing this (as above)

- the server is installed under c:\hlserver\
- Realbot is here c:\hlserver\Realbot\...........
- and cstrike is here c:\hlserver\cstrike - so it seems ot be in the right place

can anyone help, or point me in a ddirection

i assume u used the right info add +localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/realbot.dll
and you have tried to add bots with rbds addbot in the console?

do you use rb 1.0 or the wip versions?

if 1.0 make sure:
you copy the realbot dll to the mod directory? (cstrike\dlls)
and put admin_bot_protection 1 in server.cfg of adminmod?

if u use the wip versions:
have the wright dll from realbot.bots-ubited.com
and setup metamod correct.

i have copied the realbot.dll to the cstrike/dlls dirctory
and added te line to the server.cfg

on the deadicaed server in its console i tried rbds addbot - it said nothing , nothing added

did rbds on it own - returned "rbds" is ""

what hlds are you running is it the one with steam game "C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\youreemail@\dedicatedserver" or is it the standalone version of hlds "c:hlserver"
