Hey everyone.. I am new here.. I actually been here quite too many times, just never registered. :P

Anyway, I am running CS 1.6 Steam and I can get metamod and pod 2.6 working great on single player. My problem is about the dedicated server. I use it only because I want to play with my brother. I can get the bot working fine when I start it up, they spawn, and move. But, then I pressed the '=' and nothing came up so I checked the console, and it didnt say anything about the Metamod plugin. It didn't show like, Metamod ver.17 blah blah. Soo, I checked the liblist and it says gamedll addons/metamod/dlls/metamod.dll . Seems about right. Now my dedicated server is located at C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\wootwoot_\dedicated server\cstrike. I have an addons folder, read the installation thing over and over, and I just can't get it working. My metamod plugin is also ver 1.17.2.0. And I run on Windows.

Any help is appreciated.

Aren't you supposed to use backslashes for the Windows liblist.gam?

Like this:

gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"

I don't think it matters.. because I used forward slashes for the other cstrike. I will try however.

//edit

Nope, it doesn't matter. I tried it and it still doesn't show up. Any other suggestions.

podbotmenu is only for listen servers (currently)
if you tried on dedicated it'll never work

Ok, thank you for the heads up. Never knew that.

That stinks then. :( Well, hopefully they are trying to.

Well, do you know how to get metamod working then for the dedicated server alone?

Pod 2.6 works fine on a dedicated server, you just can't use the menu to control them. You have to use rcon to log into the server and use the pod bot's dedicated server commands. I had them for the old podbot2.5 but I havn't installed 2.6 yet so I don't know what they are now. Read the docs. They work fine on a dedicated server.

What is this rcon log thing?
I can't seem to find it anywhere. I will look for it in the docs about dedicated server, and ya, it does work fine in dedicated server, thank goodness. :)
