Google should turn up plenty on using that.
If you want help with c++ in general, I'd recommend getting a book (something like C++ How to Program by Deitel & Associates).

An exhaustive C reference manual is also mandatory to me...
Then, just download some public domain project and hack around the code. Start simple...
