So, you've always wanted to be a bot, eh?

Tell me what class you'd like to play:

LT - gives ammo, calls airstrikes.
MEDIC - heals people, revives dead.
ENG - builds and destroys structures in the world.
SOLDIER - carrys heavy weapons: sniper rifle, flamethrower, panzerfaust, venom(heavy machinegun). Pick which you like.

What team you like:

And some basic info on your play style (camper, attacker) and I'll create a bot profile of you and include it in the next release.

BTW: there is no priority list in Fritz - it isn't needed since you always have access to the weapons of your choice (theres no money to worry about).

EVERY class gets an SMG - soldier is special because it can carry the heavy weapons. :)

No prob - except that allied meds don't have access to the MP40 - they use the thompson. :(

Now, I made it where meds CAN easily drop their guns and pick up other SMG, but you'd have to be an axis med to start with the MP40. So would you rather be axis, or just settle for allies and thompson?

Now understand - there still is a lot of work to be done to give them distinct personalities, so some of what your requesting isn't possible ATM and will have to be added in at a later time (tho there much of it is available too - so don't be discouraged!).

The choice is yours, but from what you described, you would probably be a soldier with a sniper rifle (mauser). The mauser zooms, like the awp, and has all of the same strengths and weaknesses as the awp, except that it doesn't slow you down. Like the awp, you wouldn't want to get into a gunfight up close with someone carrying a SMG, but as a sniper weapon, its very dangerous and powerful.

You also get a pistol, and 4 frag grenades when your a soldier.

Oh, and I'd like to be a bot too. I've never played this game before, but I will when the next release of this bot comes out.

Chronos: Right now they don't strafe jump, but thats a design choice on my part, I had them doing it at one time, not real pretty, but it was strafe jumping. I liked it in Q3, but strafe jumping in Wolf just seems wrong. If it becomes a major weak point for the bots, I'll let them do it too again, but personally I dislike it.

A bot file is just a simple text file with the .bot extention. It usually looks like this:

This is a bot file for the flagship bot of the bot, called fritz. The funname is what the bot's name will appear like in the game, but it doesn't have to match the .bot file name.

In the Fritz.pk3 file, there is a file called "botinfo.txt" that explains what all the different variables in the bot file do.

Ex: you could have a bot file called "a.bot" but the funname inside that file could be "^1Your ^2Awesome ^3Name ^4Here". :)

When you use the "addbot" command, the game looks for the bot file matching that name. So, in the example above you would type: "addbot a" to get the "^1Your ^2Awesome ^3Name ^4Here" bot in the game. ;)

To add them to your game, make a sub directory of the "fritzbot" directory called "bots" and place your bot file there. Then you can add this bot and play with it.

In the next version, I'm going to make these files much more accessible so that you can easily poke around and look at things to understand how they work (I won't be using .pk3 files anymore).

BTW: a .pk3 file is just a simple .zip file, so you can open it with WinZip, or any other tool that handles .zip files.

First just wanted to say thanks. I used to play a lot until I ended up with satellite internet and now can't play because of latency. The bots help me scratch the itch between sessions at a friend's house.

Play Style: Purely teamwork, when playing medic I usually stick with the team and revive when needed and such, nothing solo-like.
Weapon: Well no choice here, thompson
Accuracy: Normal I suppose
Team Work: 100% (unless I'm on an idiotic team that does nothing), I stick with them and revive, give out packets, support fire, etc.
