From filebase - http://forums.bots-united.com/showpost.php?p=18833&postcount=2
just click download to get Build 3050.

@Stefan, this thread maybe should be closed so that only you can edit it?

You can find my 'live' Linux port on: http://www.students.hec.be/~evyncke/cs/realbot_mm_i386.so

I typically have the latest 'CVS' + a couple of additions (mostly in waypointing & debugging)

I was there, but I cannot find any file with the date 08/07/04, as per Stefan post:

Fixed some shield detection, could cause improper buy behaviour... hopefully its fixed now.

it wont have 08/07/04 as the date on the column on the right because he is updating a file that was added a while back. just look for "the very latest DLL" or whatever it says, with the caption reading 8/7/04

Just committed some files into CVS for build 3055:

- bumped version to 3055
- handling of es_ and as_ maps with new goals
- added two debug commands:
realbot debug goals
realbot debug bots
- added two nodes commands (for dedicated servers mainly)
realbot nodes connect n1 n2
realbot nodes disconnect n1 n2
- slight modification in goal scoring (only reduced score when two bots of
the SAME team select the same goal)

I'm using Ver.3054.

if that file is not up to date, then you will need to find someone else to compile it for you or you can compile it yourself

The latest builds of the Linux source are also available in the downloads section of my web site at http://www.brettbrewer.com/v2. I'm just posting my builds each time I update from CVS. If Stefan has a problem with that I can remove them, but I thought it might be helpful since I can never seem to find a linux build in these forums.

The main thread, here, was getting too filled with chat. Here's a new thread for you to chat away in.

stefanhendriks
02-08-2004, 20:11
what should be discussed?

dstruct2k
03-08-2004, 09:28
I don't know... Whatever you people were discussing in the last thread that wasn't supposed to be for general discussion. :P

stefanhendriks
03-08-2004, 11:24
i thought that was about 'how to install rb'.. argh

dstruct2k
04-08-2004, 02:20
Nope... lol

That was "Latest Source Comitted..." which I really think should only be used as a way to tell us when the CVS has been updated.

stefanhendriks
04-08-2004, 14:19
true true. Well atleast we discuss something now (though we seem to have closed the subject); perhaps someone else can bring in some good point of discussion about the source...

about OOP perhaps :P

Well I have a question, when will the filebase be updated with the latest progress? There seems to be lots of compilations for linux on the forum but I can't find a one for windows.
It's no fun trying to find bugs in an old compilation because "all" bugs have already been found and it's hard to tell if the bug/issues you find already have been adressed. I know you all are working as hard as you can and don't have time to compile and upload files all the time but the 'latest' source for windows i have found is since 2004-07-08...

Josh_Borke
05-08-2004, 03:03
you can always download a free compiler offline and compile it yourself from the CVS sources until someone can upload a new version. I think stefan was toying with the idea of releasing version 2.0.

dstruct2k
06-08-2004, 18:58
Download from the CVS... are you joking? It went down like 3 weeks ago and I haven't been able to connect since.

Anyway, once I get the latest source, I'll post a DLL here for you.

Mmmm, i wish i knew how to compile. When i get the time i promisse i will learn.
Hmm, now when I don't have a bot to play against... I'll give compiling another try but the last time i tried it didn't go to well. The compilers don't seem to like me at all... (or rather... I'm useless!!" :-(
Thank you dstruct2k, hopefully i can compile it myselfe but just incase, post it when you have it :-)

QUOTE]

OK, I have updated the filebase with the [b]Windows DLL for build 3057.

Please note that my compiler is Mingw32 which seems to produce larger DLL (700 kB). Still a debugging version but looks stable.

Also, I try to keep the following URL updated with recent compilations (Windows & Linux):

Stefan,

This is done now. The link to the latest Linux/Windows work version is in the filebase.

BTW, it is cool that the filebase can actually contain URL to external web server:)

CVS repository has been updated:

- bumped version to 3058
- added a cNodeMachine::add2 which should do the same job as ::add
but it seems to work better. ::add2 is used by Bsp2Rbn only for now.
- added the display of node flags (water, ladder, jump) next to the
node position in 'debug nodes draw'
- suppress the debugging information which displayed the hit entity
while establishing neighbourhood

So, little changes.

I tried to rewrite the NodeMachine::add() function by establishing 'better' ???:( neighbourhood relationships.

It is currently not used by the Realbot when auto-waypointing by looking at humans. If you want to help, I will welcome any feedback :) on this function:
- by looking at the code
- by renaming ::add() into ::old_add() and ::add2() into ::add()

-eric
I cannot use CVS.

Does anyone of you have a Build 3058 for Linux,

Please ?
