i played a bit with em yesterday and i was amazed :) i did a quick loop waypoint on cs_1701e (very nice map) they were really good...
buttons work nicely ...if u say 'follow me' and go down a ladder (no wp in area) they will climb down the ladder 8o
k onto bugs...
1) this is from many versions old..but when a bot buys awps\scout...or machine guns..they don't switch to pistols whle running..they run with the rifle in their hands...
2) from old verisons when with awps they dont zoom1 until theyre ready to fire (maybe they can see as far as when a human player uses zoom to see?) not even to check if there is an enemy down there...
This version:
3)cannot access autopath max d 400 can only go upto 250...
4)not sure if it's my waypointing but if there is free weapons on map (awp_snowfun) they don't goto pick it up ..

about 2) I'm not sure zooming "by precaution", or preventive zooming, has ever been a feature of POD-bot
about 3) The apmd 400 was removed upon request. Agree with each other, guys !
about 4) If there is ALSO a buy zone, the bots will prefer buying their own guns instead of picking the free ones. Doing the contrary would be complicated because the bot is not guaranteed to be the first player to arrive on the weapon. He may very well end up with no gun at all if everybody picks up all the weapons before him.
But all that you say is doable... other coders may want to check it.

400 is rediculously long :)= that was a quick addition of Austin when he last made these.......i donjt see th reason on any map to have connections this long.
to partially correct the awp_snowmap/fy iceworld/awp_map problem.......force bots to go over the laying weapons using waypoints directly on them with a radius of 0........i get most bots pickin up weapons on my custompack01 fy_iceworld waypoint

just had an idea about the zoom thing.......because i see them even zoom in at close rnage which wouldnt happen much i suppose......can we talk to the bot like with jumping with a knife and say.....if this distance NNN do not zoom but rather...draw pistol....and attack........
and if anySniperweapon....and if no enemy.....then pistol or knife...until enemy or dangerwaypoint allotment more than NNN then draw weapon.
make sense...or is possible??

okay so maybe the wp editor need a bit of the revamp...
remove thos cancels that go with yes no questions..
remove auto max d 400
but can we add back a feature: of the old
the ability to type in console pwp del #
i'm starting to get annoyed with not being able to aim right :( i could do that console command faster.....
either that or when wp editor is turned on our pistols get a targeting barrel on top that shoots a red laser :D
with the bots ..not just sniper but also that rediculously heavy machine gun...

we got them to pull knives even withanyweapon for a jump waypoint with a specific distance........
i had also wanted the pwp add/del back in but thats what cache this waypoint is for :)
cache the target waypoint then add.......it works

so i goto the wp i want del path from cache it go to the wp it goes to and do path del? and it will del the path between 2 wps?
ps: my aim got a bit better..but i still have the ocassional problem, not that
many now....
i think one of the problems is that when i aim the wp editor gets confused when 2 wp are\almost in line with each other

it's touchy, yes... you need to aim accurately onto the waypoint you want to add a path to, because the code will take the most likely one, i.e the one at which you aim with the closest angle.

i have found it often best to mmove sideways..into the waypoints radius...and duck........then point.......if its not doing it then make sure you are infront of the waypoint yer on.....not behind it........and then if its not working right.........aim more to the left of it......it seems that aiming to the left gets it more often than not...........and if that fails i go to the other WP and try it from there and it usually works then.........
its still faster than typing all the numbers in on all those deletes.....because i still do things in 2 minutes that surely would have taken 10.

yep ...i got use to it but there is the one that doesn't want to be deleted :( and i think if just pwp gets implemented back in console..then when u get finally tired of not being able to dlete it u can just goto console...
i like the feature it's nice,but there's always that one that it won't work on :(

if it doesnt owrk on one.....then move THAT waypoint and delete from it......add something back to it if necessary(outgoing or incoming)
thats my solution.......either one wil always work......i had to fix many waypoints and have been doing many waypoints with this function without the console for 2 weeks now with no REAL problems :) takes a bit getting used to but in the end.....its still faster than console commands

Yup, I'm not too familiar and comfortable with this pointing thingy, either - so far. But a) SF is right, one of these methods always works, and b) give it a week to get used to it and let's see what we think then... it's quite a change and takes some practice.
I'd also like to have the 2 alternatives, i.e. pwp add/del available as console command as well. This would also be of advantage with regard to new waypointers; they'd get into waypointing a bit easier...
