new on this site. which bot to use?

hi all,

a friend (terran) told me of this site.

i have my 1 on 1/2 on 2 nt server with metamod, adminmod and statsme running on xvegax.serveftp.net

now, which bots are fitting to that? could anyone tell me how to configure?

Hello and welcome,

hmm.. depends on the game. What is it for ? I suppose Counter-Strike. If this is the case, there are several bots you can try out, namely IvPBot, E[POD]Bot -hope I put the brackets right this time-, JoeBot, RealBot and eventually POD-bot 2.6mm. Some of them work for CS 1.5 only, but most of them for 1.6 also. Don't come and ask me which one is the best, IMO it's a matter of taste :)

for games with few players the bots with too much AI (realbot and joebot) might lead to phases of long waiting, but they are more chalenging, (realbot for 1.6 is not as complete though). for IvPBot and podpbot i cant tell a word, i don't know them .

@PMB, does podbot work (i.e. buy wepons) for 1.6 ?

The 2.6mm port does. The original 2.6 doesn't.

Naw, im sure he wants to try ShrikeBot on TOD or DOD. :D

ShrikeBot is not a meta mod plugin but it can be loaded at same time.

ShrikeBot / Metamod / Admin or Amx mod / lotsa plugins. been tested and reported to work successfully.
