Where's the mistake ?

Hi,

i use the full version of steam. i installed realbot and activated it for CS 1.6...
when i open a server and press 'h' i get the menü to add or remove a bot. i can click on anything there, but nothing happens. where is the mistake ? i don't get it.. :-/

A thought...

If you are running realbot on a dedicated server, then you will not be able to use the 'h' key menu to do stuff with the bots on the server. You must run a 'listen server' (start Counter-Strike and then start a new game) to be able to add and remove bots.

If you setup RB for a dedicated server, I would recommend that you rather set it up for a listen server, and once it is working, copy the setup across to the dedicated server. Then, to add or remove bots, you will have to type in the relevant commands in the serve console.

Perhabs I forgot something to do ?! I installed Steam, got all Updates. Then I installed the EXE of RealBot and activated it. Then I can use the Menu in the Game. The Menu is visible but does not work. Did i forget something ?

Btw, can you play with the bots? Does the command rb_addbot (in the console) works?

here are 2 probable fixes:
1. Redo the liblist.gam file and make it readonly
2. Check everything with metamod.

OK i had this problem. I can still not get the remove bot to work so i just yse amx_kick bot :) Well I think your problem is the liblist.gam file. the game dll line should read gamedll ../realbot/dlls/realbot.dll Hmm i might have made a typo someone help me out..

The fact that the menu appears in counterstrike just means that the custom menu is configured, and does not mean that real bot is loaded. I think the best thing to do is to check that the liblist.gam file in your cstrike contains the correct line. If you are not using the liblist.gam file to load Realbot, then make sure that you use the correct command line options as follows -

1 - Copy the realbot.dll file into your cstrike\dlls folder

2 - For Counterstrike 1.5 - add '+localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/realbot.dll' (without the quotes) to the command that loads Counter-strike
--OR--
2 - For Counterstrike 1.6 (Steam) - add '+localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/realbot.dll' (without the quotes) to the Launch Options of Counter-Strike in the Games menu in Steam.
